"We liked Golden Rose Personal Care Home a lot. It's a very nice place. I think they have two or three different locations. This one is not very big, which we're glad about. It's a little older but the rooms are very nice. My aunt just moved in and I think she's going to be happy there. The staff is very nice. All their food is homemade, and my aunt said the food was good. The facility is clean, in good shape, and all taken care of."

"I visited the memory care portion of Woodland Ridge for Mom. It's a very nice place, they have very nice staff, and the staff has been with them for a long time. My problem with it is the fact that they're very expensive. We saw one room, it was very nice, and the bathroom was big enough for a walker. The residents were well-kept, they were sitting in a common room watching TV, and they were singing old songs."

"It is a nice facility. My mother in-law’s room is great. I’m very pleased with the staff. They seemed to be very attentive to the residents and they provide good meals. They let you know if there is anything unusual that happened. They have Bingo, Scrabble and entertainers come in. I do a worship service there once a week. "

"I toured here, it was smaller and a little more quaint and personable. We walked in the front door and we talked with the lady, and she showed us around. There were two main hallways of rooms, and she told us the difference. There was a studio, a one-bedroom, and a two-bedroom. We went down each hall and she did show us a couple of examples of the ones that she could. We did see the dining area, which was just one dining area, and there was a memory care unit. They had several different courtyards, and they did have a few amenities. One thing she did say they do, which I liked, is that on the 4th of July, Labor Day, and probably because it's a smaller facility and more personable, they have cookouts for the assisted living people and tell them to invite their family. I did see some other caregivers, but the few caregivers that we did see were pretty friendly. I just heard them talking to other people and calling them by name. They just seemed very accommodating."

"My mom is at Canterfield of Kennesaw. This is her first week. They have a nice variety of activities and events. All the areas are nicely lit with sunshine and daylight. The apartments are large, spacious, and well-appointed. Everything is clean and looks very much like a resort as opposed to like an institution. The food service is lovely. It's table restaurant service with daily offerings and then specials that are also very nicely aligned to choose from with seasonal offerings. The activity teams are strong with music, games, and field trips, so we're looking forward to my mom being able to enjoy those. The med techs are nice. The staff with the on-duty medical team is great. The relationships they have with physician assistants in medical services and pharmacies make everything all-inclusive for the families as well as for the residents in the community. We looked at a studio, an extended studio, and a one-bedroom apartment. We chose the extended studio, which was a large 12x 18-room along with a kitchenette, a large closet, and a large bathroom. The one-bedroom was very large, but it was also a bit outside of our range financially. There are landscaped gardens with sidewalk walking paths. There's a library with a fireplace and very big comfy chairs. There's an activity room, a movie theater, and a salon. There is a physical therapy room with exercise equipment. There are quite a number of areas beyond the apartments for residents to enjoy that are all part of their homes. My mom met more people that she interacted with and enjoyed their company more than she did at the other place. They have a bit more activities as far as field trips and enrichment out into the community. "

"I visited the memory care facility of Regal Pointe at East Cobb. They are good at listening, but quite salesy. When we were at this other place we were also touring, the person there knew a lot of the names of the people and asked somebody questions like have they drank water, and then asked somebody on the staff to get them water. As we're touring this place, though, we saw somebody there standing, nobody was with her, her mouth hung open, but the person we were touring with didn't say hi or address her. He said excuse me and walked around her and then closed the door. He told me sorry and that he had to close the door because she might come in. This is a person who knows who she is, so that didn't feel great to me. He really listened to me and talked about how he got into this because of his own parents. However, after we toured the rest of the facility, and as we were going into the memory care, he said, "This is going to be really sad". I feel like that's how he sees it, and projecting it like that felt like he didn't respect the people who were in that wing. The room size was fine, but I think my biggest concern was that there was an overpowering smell of urine. I would expect that there'll be some urine in some places, especially since it's lunch and on a memory care wing where there's going to be a lot more incontinence. Other than that, the dining area looks satisfactory, and the parking was easy. I would say that on the assisted living side, it was clean with interesting facilities and activities. However, the memory care side was just depressing. My grandparents were in a nursing home through my teen years, and I'm not usually one to say I was triggered by something, but I was triggered by something there. I came home and literally sat in a chair for a while."

"My sister and I are so grateful for the care that the Green Park Kennesaw family gave my mother. They all take great pride in the care of their residents. The facility does not feel like a facility but a warm home. Our mom was in another facility prior to her time with Green Park. There is no comparison to the level of care she received at Green Park. If you are looking for a warm environment and excellent care for a loved one, I highly recommend Green Park, Kate and her wonderful staff."

"I am staying at Northstar Square. The staff members are helpful. I couldn't eat my lunch today because it was awful. I can't say that the meals are desirable. When I came out of the hospital, the room was never painted or properly cleaned for a new resident. So I have never been happy with my room. A lot of the residents go to the activities. Sometimes, they have musicians come in."

They had a little courtyard area and a relaxation area. This facility was located near restaurants and grocery stores."

"Silver Comet Village was newer. Although it was smaller, it was nice and clean. Each one of the apartments has a washer and dryer in the unit. Plus, they offer two meals. The employees were nice, had all the information we needed, and answered all the questions."

"I toured Celebration Village Acworth and it was beautiful. The thing I liked the most was that it was very clean, it was very well-maintained, and they had a lot of amenities that seemed really nice and helpful for everybody. I also love that they had this wall for veterans and any of the veterans or spouses of veterans that live in or have lived in the facility. They put a picture of those veterans on the wall, which they called a wall of fame. It was really, really touching. The staff member who gave the tour was very kind and she was funny. She knew what she was talking about as far as the location and everything they have to offer."

"My mom is currently in Belmont Village Buckhead. It's been great -- the care, the people, the communication -- and I'm very pleased with the facility. My mom is very picky right now only because of her health situation. It's been very comparable on everything. They have activities and therapy as well. She's in a studio with her own private bathroom, and she has a kitchen. They have a bistro, a dining area, and a special memory care area. I think it's highly rated for dementia, and I didn't even know that when I picked the place. It's closer to where I live."

"Aspen Village was too big of a community for my dad. The rooms were very beautiful and big. The community seemed to be very happy. They were having cocktail hour, which I thought was so nice. The staff was excellent at making us feel very comfortable. It looked like a very exclusive place to stay. It would be a nice place for my husband and me but not for Dad."
