I visited this facility

Rosecastle of Zephyrhills was much smaller. It feels older. The staff was friendly and very nice. I didn't see a lot of activities, but the activities we did see were like a trivia game where a lot of the residents didn't seem too enthusiastic about it. I don't know anything about the food, meals or anything like that. I got to look in one of the rooms and the rooms seemed to be OK. They have a studio and one-bedroom. They have a courtyard, activities center, and cafeteria.

I visited this facility

I'm leaning towards Rosecastle of Zephyrhills for my mother. It is just 10 minutes down the road from me. They have a very nice staff. It's small. Their retention rate for their employees is the best I've seen. They don't have new people coming in and out as far as employees, which means they're running it right. The people would say that the only way they leave is when they pass away type of thing. They don't leave because of conditions; they leave because it's the end. So I like all that. They're very nice and welcoming. The living spaces were small. You can have your own or you can share. They're very clean, modern, well-kept, and simple. They have activities for everyone. They're not like lavish big rooms or anything. They're small and simple, but it's everything that you would need. They have a calendar of schedules of different events. When we were there, they were doing bingo in the common area. They have different events and different people come in. They have movies and stuff like that to keep them entertained. I haven't tried the food, but it smelled good when I was there.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother stayed at Rosecastle Of Zephyrhills for respite care. It was a very nice place. They're fantastic. Her room was nice and clean. The lobby area was also nice. The place was just very comfortable. The staff was great. You could tell that they were dedicated to what they were doing and the lady that took care of her was very nice. They had a puzzle room and TV room, and they play bingo once in a while.

I visited this facility

Rosecastle of Zephyrhills was nice, they were knowledgeable, and it would be our second choice. It was clean, the people were very nice, and in talking to people, they say the food is really good there. So it was good. They have a decent-sized refrigerator, which is bigger than a mini-fridge. You get a microwave, internet and cable are included, but there are no stoves. There's no direct outside access from the rooms, like there's not a door, or a balcony, or anything like that. You'll have to go to the end of the hall to go outside. They do activities like bingo, and they have like musical guests come in and stuff like that. They're good but they're pricey. They were the most expensive of everyone we visited. The staff was good, the rooms were sizeable, but needed some updating. The maintenance was good. Overall it was clean. It's not brand new, but it would be our second choice.

Rosecastle does not only have a beautiful building and setting, it has the most amazing staff. Staff went above and beyond for my mother; and, I can never thank them enough. I highly recommend this facility.

My mother is currently at Rosecastle Of Zephyrhills. The services they provide is pretty good as far as I can tell. The staff members have all been friendly to me and they're pretty helpful. She feels pretty good there. She has her own little room. She also likes most of the food or meals there a lot.

Rosecastle Of Zephyrhills is very nice. My mother lives in the assisted living area. The staff is very nice and they work in both memory care and assisted living, so they know all the residents. The only bad thing is that the doors in the assisted living area are open so people can just come and go any time. That's just not really secure in my opinion. They have Bingo every day, exercise programs in the morning, some days of the week they do nails for the ladies, and they have a bus that they take out once a week to Walmart and to restaurants in the area. They also have people come in in the afternoons who play the guitar for the residents, or sing, but they always have a musical program every week. I've had several meals with my mother and the food is very good. I like the staff and they've been very good in taking care of my mother, and also my father when he was still alive.

We went to West Winds, and we liked it. The location was great. It was very nice, very homey, very clean, and very elegant. Their accommodations looked roomy and very clean. Most of the activities were geared to what the people wanted, and I thought that was very nice. They had movie nights, bingo, and excursions. The food looked attractive and smelled good. Their dining facility was very nice. The staff was very friendly, very nice, and knowledgeable. However, the price was just a little high, and we could not afford it right now.

I am a friend or relative of resident

My grandmother lived here in the Alzheimer's secured wing. The staff is amazing, not only do they know the name of each resident, but they go above and beyond, knowing everything about a residnet, what their favorite food is, their family member's names, where they have lived in the past, their favorite color, etc. My family and I always felt so WELCOMED in this warm & caring environment. Even though grandma has been gone for a year now, we STILL drop in each month to say "hello" to the residents and staff we consider family!

As you notice in this relatively new built up area of Zephyrhills, West Winds ALF fits right in! The building itself looks brand new. The colors that were chosen to decorate this ALF, are the tones of a mid west farm house. There are several themed gardens outside in which you can stroll through. This ALF is in a nestled area, that is relatively quite. Right around the corner there are several shopping stores. West Wind is built sturdy and is one of the few Alf's that are secure in the event of a Florida hurricane. The walls inside this ALF are concrete based and that muffles the noise level throughout and also provides structural support. There are three meals served daily and a snack bar available at all times. West Wind offers apartment style living in either single or double occupancy. Several floor plans are available for these apartments and each one has a kitchenette. This ALF is in my opinion, is an excellent selection and is defiantly worth taking the time to tour!
