My mom is at Alto Stuart. Everything was fine when she first got there, but they're making a lot of changes. A lot of the residents are concerned about the changes that are going on. I haven't seen anything that affects us yet. The environment is great there. It's night and day compared to where I brought her from. It's a lot better than where she was. My mom's unit looks like a two-bedroom apartment. It has a small kitchen and common area, and two separate rooms, one for her and one for her roommate. There is a refrigerator and a microwave that's all in there. The staff is great. I ate lunch with my mom a few times, and the food was very good. They've got quite a few community activities, too.

Alto Stuart was very nice and very clean. The person we talked to was very professional and there was not too much that we didn't like about it. The rooms were sufficient, for sure, and clean and spacious. The living atmosphere was nice. The community layout was very acceptable and very nice. The dining area looked comfortable and pleasant.

When I first walked in American House Stuart Lodge, I was completely impressed with the decor, the friendliness from everybody that was in the front lobby -- it's quite large -- and the friendliness of the gentleman who gave me the tour. He toured me around to several room options they would have, the dining area, the activity area, and the happy hour area. Everything was just beautiful. I want to come live there. I was very impressed with that facility. The places we visited seemed to have similar aspects, but that one was just A-plus level. They have a beautiful room with a fireplace that people can go in and just relax and watch the fire. The outside gardens were gorgeous to be outside and just enjoy the breeze and the sunshine. The front staff greeted me very graciously. The gentleman during the tour even sent me a follow-up email saying how nice it was to meet me. Everything was just high class.

We went to American House Stuart Lodge. My brother liked it the best because it was closest to his doctors. The place was very nice. The tour was great. The staff members were all very friendly and seemed to be quite willing to help when somebody asked a question. The staff during the tour was very good. He was new (to the job), but he did an excellent job and answered all our questions. My brother liked him very much. The nice thing about this place is the way it was designed. It would be easy for my brother to get around. It's very nice. They had an outdoor area and a covered area.

I had a positive tour experience of American House Stuart Lodge. The gym, however, was a major concern for my husband because they said that they have physical therapy available but he doesn't need physical therapy, he just enjoys going to the gym, so it was not clear to me if that would be available. Their rooms were nice though and the staff was very, very helpful. The gal that would have normally done the tour was not available that day, so the head of nursing stepped in and toured us. The place was much more open and much more appealing, and there's just much more outdoor space and more accessibility to it.

Stuart Lodge is an old lodge that has been remodeled. I talked to a lot of people there and they seemed happy. It wasn't really extravagant or exclusive, but it was homey. I would rate it highly for the location. The staff was very nice, they give you all the time that you need for questions, then they take you around and show you every room and corner. They have a pool, Bingo, and card games. The dining area was adequate, a lot of people came in wheelchairs and scooters, and the residents can sit anywhere they want. You're also allowed to bring people in for meals and just pay the extra price.

I visit Stuart Lodge every other Sunday morning for church service. The people seemed content and well cared for. I checked out the rooms, and all seemed clean. The grounds and the location were excellent.
