On December 21, 2018 my mother was transfer to your location for rehabilitation and one of your skill nurses told her she had to do #1 & 2 on the bed, when she could still walk to the bathroom, and she refuse to do so and the nurse sad her on a wheelchair and sad her on the nurse station with another wheelchair behind her chair so she could get up, she call my sister since she had her cell phone with her, and she pick her up, that same day, I would never recommend this place to anyone, I arrived the next day to talk to the manager and a nurse was at this place, no manager how could this place be run without a manager, who handle complain, my mother is 87 years old and still have a mind of her own. don't take your love one here they are not caring only interested in the$$

My Mother is there right now having dizziness no one answers the phone. This is an emergency. They ignore the bell call for more than an hour. This is inhumane .

I went to Heartland and it all looked first class to me. I ate there and they serve great food. The place was clean and the rooms looked inviting. The interaction I had with the staff was positive. They were very nice.

My grandmother was a resident at Heartland Nursing home in Miami Lakes, FL this past year, after being in the hospital for a few weeks prior. Heartland is in a great, safe location. There's always someone seated at the front entrance to check in guests, facility is kept clean, fully staffed, and provides everything needed for patients to be comfortable. Vending machines, kitchen where food is prepared on site, as well as 2 cafeterias, one of which is very spacious and allows for several visitors to have lunch or a small party with residents. In addition to all of this, they also have daily activities including church service, which allow patients to socialize with one another and remain as active as possible. The only complaints my grandmother had while living there was difficulty, especially at night, getting assistance from the staff in a timely manner. She also did not care for the food. But she did speak highly of the on-site doctors and also of the nurses on staff.
