I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My loved one is at The Cottages of Bradenton. Visit was none because of the Covid. I've seen the front area, but not the rooms. They have memory games, bingo, and painting. The dining area is a big open area, and they only seat one person to a table right now. It's very reasonably priced for what they get. They have nice rooms and everything. I would definitely recommend it.

I visited this facility

The Cottages of Bradenton was great. It was a pretty comprehensive overview of what they do there and it was good. It seemed clean, but there were parts where it seemed a little old. The wooded area was really nice and felt really homey and I liked it. The woman who gave me a tour was really nice. The dining area was nice and the residents all seemed happy.

I visited this facility

The Cottages was independent. Each place had a sitting area. Each house was almost separate and surrounded by natural landscape and plant life. It was very appealing, I had a good feeling. They had everything available both inside and outside the community. There was a visiting physician and trips to wherever you had to go including the doctor's office. The people seemed friendly to one another, and there was definitely interaction.

The Cottages of Bradenton wasn't for us. I didn't like that there was such a big area for smoking. The people staying there were smoking along with the nurses and staff, which really turned us off. The staff who gave us the tour was very nice.

I visited this facility

I went to The Cottages (The Cottages of Bradenton). It was very nice. The staff was very friendly. It’s on a dead-end street down by a little creek, so it’s very nice pleasant place. It’s very quiet. They were just very nice. I would recommend it. They had all kinds of activities for the Alzheimer’s patients. They had individual rooms. It was a nice size room. It had a bed and a dresser. They did have TV in the lounges. They had a couple of lounges. When I was there, they were having activities for the Alzheimer’s patients. The workers there were nice in helping them. It was very, very nice. I would rate it a 4 just because it doesn’t have all the fancy stuff that some of the others have, but it was very homey and nice.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My mother is in The Cottages of Bradenton, but she's been independent in an apartment for a few years. I like almost everybody on the staff, and they do pretty much anything for her. They help her with bathing once or twice a week and help clean her apartment at no extra cost. They take her to doctors' appointments on certain days, to the store one day a week, and to different restaurants on Fridays. I like the place. They treat her really well. She gets three meals a day.
