"Falcons Landing was the best place that I've seen, so far. It had multiple levels of care, but it did not have a hospice. It's the only place I would recommend. The place was about 30 acres that had separate houses and several main buildings. Within the main buildings were all sorts of levels of care. It had a dining room that had a comment book where people could comment on the food that was being served."

"We have decided to move to Ashby Ponds. I thought it was the best. They are top quality and close to family. I like the area because it’s an open space. It has a lot of amenities and large apartments with a lot of light and space. My husband has been sick and has a lot of support if he needs doctors and nurses. The food is OK. I will have one meal a day, so the other two meals are up to me, which is fine. "

"Ingleside at Rock Creek is not your typical nursing facility. Rated as one of the best facilities in the DC area, this diverse community was home to my father for over 4 years. The staff operates with a sense of compassion and concern for all residents. They are connected to the residents as well as family members to provide caring and quality care. They provide daily activities that are fun and exciting, keeping the residents engaged. The choice to place a loved one in a nursing facility can be a hard and stressful decision. However, when caring for a loved one becomes to challenging for family members, Ingleside at Rock Creek is the next best thing to being home. You will have peace of mind knowing that quality care will be provided. "

"My mother is a retired army wife. She's moving into Knollwood Retirement community in three weeks. They have just been very helpful. The staff has been wonderful. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The food is wonderful, and the dining room is very large and open. They have a fitness room, bingo, and bridge. I like the different levels of service for different levels of need. I like the cleanliness of it. It's very wide open. It's not depressing at all. "

"Excellent service; lovely campus. My father was in independent living here for over 10 years. He used their Rehab facilities and then moved into Assisted Living. I was also a patient in Rehab. Most of the main building has been remodeled. The rooms are beautiful. The service and nursing care is top notch. I could not say enough about how wonderful the care is there. "

"I'm definitely considering Kensington Park. They have activities all day long. I didn't see all the rooms. It depends upon the rooms, of course; the more money you spend, the bigger the room. The two rooms that we saw were way too small. The place is lovely to look at. It has nice grounds and everything. They seem to have a lot of activities and a lot of people there. But I was not thrilled with some of the rooms that I saw. Some that I liked were just priced way too high. "

"I use to live at the Armed Forced Retirement Home. The employees are really helpful, very nice, and friendly. They have 24-hour nurses and doctors there every day except Sunday. I just had a small room, just a one person room, but its set up for people with handicap so everything is handicap friendly. I just didn’t like the food because sometimes it seems like its cooked rushed. They have a fitness center there, but they don’t have swimming pool. It has been closed because some residents are incontinent and the pool might get polluted. You have to be in the military to be able to live there. "

"Ingleside at King Farm was nice. They had a big art room and multiuse places where it could be a place where people eat, but then they could also turn it into a place where a presenter would come in and talk about some topics. Everything was very new and the staff was fabulous. The person there was really nice and helpful. She was very eager for me to come. It's lovely."

"This is the best place for anyone who is retired and ready to enjoy life! Move in while you are young (60!) so you can take advantage of all the wonderful facilities and programs! The larger the facility, the more they can offer the residents and Asbury is the largest CCRC around. We have it all! I walk the nature trails daily, swim in the gigantic indoor pool 3 times a week, participate in the exercise classes, attend Keese School twice a week, go to the movies in the 275-seat theater, attend different classes, enjoy the Strathmore events on compass, go on trips to various places, eat out at the restaurants whenever we want to, play bridge with new friends, share at a book club, volunteer at different places, and much more. The best part is the wonderful people we have met and the fabulous staff who are always there to help. I thank God every day for finding this beautiful, well-maintained campus and facility for my husband and me. We love it here. "

"My friend lives in Riderwood. It is a wonderful place. It's very nicely run, diverse, and friendly. The staff is very helpful and very knowledgeable. The food is very good. It's a very clean facility and they have lots of activities. I would recommend them."

"Brook Grove is an old place, but it's very comfortable. I like mainly the fact that they will definitely help you when you have to get into Medicaid. The rooms are beautiful, very large, and very comfy. My main hesitation there is that it did not look to be as active a place as others, and that was a concern. My daughter and I both went, and we were there for a good period of time, and nobody was in any activities during the time we were there. They only have one aide to 8 people. That is not good. Most of the other places are 1 aide to 4 or 5 people. I was very shocked at that. For a cottage with 16 people, they only have 2 aides. But the location is practically around the corner from me. "

"Collington is 125 acres and they have a 6-acre glade. It's beautifully landscaped, it has a walking nature trail, it has lots of wild life and the people who live there can have a gardening space. They have a choice of a cottage or an apartment. They have canoes if you want to paddle around or fish on the lake. We spent a night there and the rooms were very nice and spacious with adequate closet space and well-appointed kitchens. The bathrooms were especially nice, very large bathrooms to accommodate wheelchairs. The food is very good. This place is a little bit far from my daughters. "

"I toured Comfort Senior Care Facility. It was nice. It was clean. The rooms were nice, clean, and comfortable looking. The gentleman that I met with and gave me the tour, was very knowledgeable and professional. If I were going to do residential, that would be the place that I would have chosen from the ones that I toured. There were plenty of activities set up. Their activity room was nice. The layout was set up for the residents, everything was spaced nicely. It was just a really good-looking place. Meals are included. The menu looked great."
