I visited a family member who was in rehab at River Glen Health Care Center. I think it was nice, but I thought everything about it was a little tight or maybe overcrowded, one of those things. The upkeep is very nice, though, and the people are very friendly. One of the things I like is this person who I don't think works there, but she came through with a wagon full of dogs, and she wheeled them all around. All the people there just petted these animals and were just so joyful to see that happen. She wasn't really an employee, but it happened more than once. They also have music. There's a large room where they have some entertainment almost daily. I was there more than once, and it went on.

My mother is in River Glen Health Care Center right now. They're very nice and friendly. She's in a two-bedroom with a large window in it, and it's got the bathroom and shower facilities right there. The nurses are going back and forth all day checking on her. She gets fed in her room, but they have a nice dining area. They also have a rehab/gym downstairs. They have all the equipment down there and she does that twice a week. They have bingo twice a week. They have a folk singer who comes in a couple of times a week. They have a movie day. They have special events, like for Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day. They have a full schedule on a calendar and we have a copy of it. Everybody seems to love the food. They keeping everything clean. The value for money is average.

the staff at river glen is exceptional. my husband was taken care of on more than 5 occations. the love and support and the kindness that he was given i am sure extended his life. from Joanallen, the aprn to all the wonderful nurses and Heidi the administrator and to Red the recreations wonderful director. they were wonderful to him and also to me who they made a member of their community. my best friend is there now and i know she is in good hands

My wife spent almost two years at River Glen and was very happy and well taken care of. She made many friends with the Nursing staff the therapists and the activite people. I can not say enough about the care and help that she received as a resident at River Glen.

The facility was just beautiful! Updated. The staff was wonderful, very caring. They made the stay there for my family member so comfortable!! Would highly recommend!!

The staff is very caring, have been with River Glen for a long time and consistency is very important with memory impaired patients. My mother had a very bad stroke and is very limited physically and mentally. I feel the staff works well with family, too - but as family (no matter where you are) YOU must be willing to be an advocate!! Not every staff member is great. You need to be sure you check on your loved-one and that everything you think needs to be done is being done. The staff here ALWAYS listens, never plays the blame game and does whatever it can to address the issue to your satisfaction. I know my mother is safe and well cared for even on those days I can't be there.
