I went to Benchmark Senior Living at Ridgefield Crossings. It was very nice walking in. You felt like you were home in a regular setting. It was very nice, and it was comforting going in there. The apartment was very spacious. When we peeked in someone's room, they made it look like their own house. It was very nice and very pleasing. The staff was wonderful. She was great. She took her time and talked about everything. She brought us around to the assisted living. Then we stopped by shortly into the memory care. They had a little choir thing going on and somebody was playing in a room. It was nice to see the whole facility at that point. The dining area was beautiful, and it was nice. The layout was great, and it definitely was very clean. She showed us a room where they had the activities and what they're doing. They had a lot of crafts going on. They had a chorus where you could join in, which was going on at the time. It was nice to see. There were a lot of people there.

I visited Benchmark Senior Living at Ridgefield Crossings. The tour was very good and very informative. The staff took me on a tour of the dining room and the common areas. I was also able to see a couple of the model rooms, and that was very helpful. The dining area was very nice, and the facility was very clean. Everybody was extremely friendly and helpful.

I visited Benchmark in person and I was impressed with it. The admissions director was lovely. The woman spent a long time with me. They had a nice library. The place was attractive. The rooms, and I teach interior design, they were very in style. She was afraid that they used a lot of beige and that the color scheme was not in style, but the beige colors are coming back and gray is going away, so I told her they're back in style now. The finish and the wood that they used for the floors, it was chic. The one-bedroom was a little small, but I think that's just the way they are at these retirement homes. It's hard to get bigger rooms. My mom has four dogs and the Benchmark has an area right out front with a bench for dogs and the residents. So if you have dogs you can go out there and I think they have a dog walk through the woods. The facility looked like it was surrounded by woods. The front was manicured pretty well and then they had the area for the dogs. To the left there were some trees and it was up high, which was nice. You get a view of the area. The building was attractive architecturally. Their pricing was less. The admissions director said that the staff has been there for years and my parents liked it.

Regarding Ridgefield Crossings, Ridgefield, CT - Our family wishes to express our deepest gratitude for all the dedication, sacrifices, caring, and answering a call above and beyond duty. We have had assistance from every corner of their staff. From plant services to reception to nursing, aides, activity directors, and many more - and via phone calls, texting, emails, video calling, and, I think, smoke signals! We get responsiveness, ingenuity and much patience. If we singled out one person we would miss a hundred. We could never express all our love and unending thankfulness to all staff at Ridgefield Crossings. Mom has lived on the Traditional Living side for several years. The staff has become like family to both Mom and us. Now, she has been moved to the Memory Care side – and again – she very quickly was welcomed and made to feel at home. We are quite sure that all the appropriate socialization and activities have kept her in a better form than we could have done by ourselves at home. Dementia is progressive. But its tide is definitely stemmed by the daily involvement she has had in Ridgefield. Recently, Mom survived the COVID outbreak, her infection having been caught early due to the staff’s constant vigilance in twice daily taking temps and oxygenation levels. Though no fever and no cough, Mom was sent to the hospital because her oxygenation showed a drop from morning to night. It was the quick reaction of RC combined with Mom’s strong general physical health, that allowed her to be treated early, and recuperation was completed on the isolation side of RC (something RC set up right away). It hasn’t been a picnic for anyone, particularly being kept apart. But we will get through it, and due in large part to the staff of Ridgefield Crossings, we will be lucky enough to enjoy Mom’s company again, and she ours. I give 5 out of 5 stars rating.

I cannot say enough good things about Ridgefield Crossings. My loved one is in the memory care area and she does not just live there, she thrives there! I cannot believe all the amazing, stimulating activities that go on every day, seven days a week. There is great diversity in the activities from trivia to crafts, movies, singing, exercise, and the outings off the property are fantastic! My loved one goes to restaurants, scenic rides and even out for coffee and something sweet. This all happens every week! My relative is known, loved, and well cared for. Every department has the most friendly, caring, and competent staff members. Not only does the staff know my loved one, they know me too! The rooms are lovely with plenty of space and windows that let in beautiful, natural light. It's also nice to be able to have lunch or dinner with my relative. There's a different menu every day with plenty of delicious meals to choose from. One of the best things is the app they have that allows me to get updates on the daily activities my loved one attends! I get pictures of her and I can also communicate with the staff through the app. It's wonderful! Ridgefield Crossings is an outstanding facility that I highly recommend!

My mom's been at Ridgefield Harbor for 4 months and she couldn't be happier: the staff are incredibly caring and attentive - they engage her in activities throughout the day every day, and give her a regular dose of warm hugs that make her feel valued and loved. The events for family are wonderful too - they give us a chance to get to know the staff and mom's friends, as well as meet other families whose parents are in a similar stage. It's a truly remarkable place; cannot recommend it more highly!

My mom has been at Ridgefield Crossings for a little over 5 years. I do not have even one complaint! The staff is wonderful, caring and responsible. Whenever we had a request, we were quickly heard and accommodated. Ridgefield Crossings has activities for all interests, all day and evening which helps with socialization and helps the residents continue hobbies and their interests. Mom loves the food and is able to request substitutes when needed. I feel completely at rest, knowing that she is well taken care of in beautiful surroundings.

We are very pleased with our mother's care. Her room is very nice. She enjoys all of the activities such as Bingo, jeopardy, happy hour, movies and outings. The resteraunt style dining and the food is delicious and the staff is terrific!

My father has been a resident of the Benchmark at Ridgefield Crossings for over a year and we are very happy with the facility, the staff and the opportunities that it has provided Dad in the form of community, friendships, activities and safety. After being diagnosed with dementia, we needed to find him a place with social interaction, thoughtful service and little cause for worry. Ridgefield Crossing has succeeded in being that place for him and we cannot say enough about the staff that their helpfulness and caring. I would certainly recommend that anyone with a need for assisted living consider Ridgefield Crossings!

Ridgefield Crossings has been a home away from home for my mother in law. Coming from NYC and moving to the country was an enormous change and the folks at RC went over and above to see she was comfortable, happy and secure. She has made many good friends and now considers it her home. The food is fabulous and the nurse aids compassionate. Five stars!

Ridgefield Crossings has been home for my Mom for the last 2 years. She has been extremely satisfied with everything that the Crossings offer. . The best part of Ridgefield Crossing is the caring staff. The resident caregivers and nurses have been incredible. The one thing that I notice about the staff here is that they treat my Mom like family. This is always a very comforting feeling, knowing the staff cares so much about the residents. They are very attentive and check in with her all the time. They provide the perfect balance of assistance and encourage independence to her comfort level. Ridgefield Crossings also does an amazing job providing fun activities for the residents. The have an entire staff dedicated to offer an array of on-site activities like exercise classes, arts and crafts, music and games. They also have different occasions when musicians come in and entertain the residents. In addition, they provide all the transportation needs for their residents, whether it is getting to church, going to the store or even getting to a doctor’s appointment. Overall, I am very thankful to the great staff of Ridgefield Crossings. They have given my Mom a wonderful, safe and healthy home. Keep up the fantastic work!!

Benchmark Senior Living at Ridgefield Crossings was very nice but very expensive. The staff was very helpful and informative. Everything was very nice and topnotch. The person who gave me the tour had coffee for me. The rooms were good, nicely appointed, comfortable, and adequate. People are well taken care of.

It was very nice and gave us an idea of what a facility is like. The staff was very friendly, answered our questions, showed us the different parts of the community, and were very helpful. We saw the dining room. We had lunch there and saw the different areas where they have recreations. The facility is three stories high, and we saw the common areas and several of the different apartments.

My mom is here, and it’s really an excellent place. It’s a little bit pricey, but the reason we picked it for my mom is because as your health deteriorates, they don’t kick you out. We saw their dining room, but we were not able to sample the meal that they were serving. They did have a nice spread for us, though, of cookies, fruits, and cheeses.

I went to visit Ridgefield and liked that the people were very nice. The staff was really wonderful, caring, and couldn’t do enough to assist and help. I really liked the place a lot. They had a lot of activities, like chair. The apartments are very small and without views. One room looked out on a wall. They are very expensive for my mother.

It was lovely. It was very, very nice. It was excellent. The location is not what I'm looking for, though. Also, I looked at one apartment with two bedrooms, and I thought that might be what I would need, but it really isn't, and it was not really appealing to me. The facility was clean. It looked to be well maintained. The activities seemed to be well planned. The dining room was very nice, and there were lot of people in the dining room to take care of the guests. Ridgefield Crossings was just a very nice place. It seemed to be very well run. They showed me list of things that they do for the month, and what was on the list was interesting. It seemed to be activities that I could participate in, but not my husband, so that's another thing. I wouldn't be able to be there with my husband. Other than that, it was fine. As a matter of fact, I met one of the ladies who lives there. She has a lovely apartment. She can come and go if she pleases and partake or not in the activities. For somebody who is alone, it is ideal.

It was beautiful. They had very nice people and a very nice ambience; everything was nice, but they wouldn't take my brother-in-law. However, the staff was very nice, very friendly, and very helpful. The residents were all into their activities and enjoying them. I also saw the dining area. It was very nice. I was so sorry my brother-in-law couldn't go in there.

It was the best facility I saw in terms of activities and the quality of the food and the rooms. The cost, however, was too high for my mother. We looked at the one bedroom apartment. The rooms were very clean and modern. They had over a dozen activities directors. The staff looked to be excellent.

My mother was here 7 years ago and she left and went to another facility and then she came back when I needed her closer to me but she's on the dementia floor now. The facility is 20 years old but they keep it very nice. It's convenient and it's a good community. The rooms are very pretty and very impressive. In the beginning, the staff said all the right things but they don't have a nurse there at night time. They had an on-call nurse at night time which is not good for Alzheimer's and dementia units. I have to hire an aide on top of paying all that money. It's expensive and the food is not great.

The place is nice but seems significantly understaffed. There is little initiative on their part until/unless a family member intervenes.

I've been looking for different facilities not so far from my son's place and this one is about half an hour from him. The place was immaculate clean. The staff were wonderful, very warm, and friendly. The food appeared to be adequate. They had a varied menu and give three meals a day. They said that they had wood working and art classes, but the wood working shop was a joke. Overall, we just felt that it's not the kind of place that we would go. It was also overpriced.
