"We toured here. It'll start out with assisted, and then as my dad's dementia progresses, we'll go to the memory side if I choose that facility. It was beautiful. As soon as we walked in it smelled like fresh-baked cookies. The receptionist was very welcoming, and she was explaining just how good she thinks the company is, and that if they had a facility in Wisconsin, she would put her mom in one, and she just kind of explained how well the residents were taken care of. When the tour started with the activities coordinator, she was very thorough. She showed me everything they had to offer. She was able to show me the four different floor plans. It was very like descriptive. She took me to the kitchen and took me to where they get their haircut. She showed me their laundry facilities and the list of activities that they have every day. They have seven or eight activities that last throughout the whole day. They cater their activities to the residents, and all the residents that I saw were very well taken care of. All the CNAs and the nurses and all the staff that works with the residents were very, very approachable, and you could tell that they enjoyed their job. It was just amazing. And they have the cutest, most beautiful cat on the memory side. It followed us around and it was affectionate with the residents. It was just awesome. Nobody was eating at the time we went, but the staff explained that there's no assigned tables and they can sit wherever they want. She showed me the menu and it was awesome. They have their food that's offered every single day, but then they also had three other choices specific for that day that the residents could choose. And the food wasn't just like your simple cheeseburger with french fries, but it was pulled pork with mashed potatoes and broccoli. I told the lady that if I could move my dad in today, I would. I did not taste the food, but the residents on the memory care side were in the middle of eating, and it smelled delicious. We looked at two floor plans and they looked great. They looked like miniature houses. We would have to furnish them ourselves, which is totally fine. Each room that I saw had a wonderful view. They even had a garden outside and a patio, which was super cute. The garden didn't have any plants in it because it's winter, but they have a whole setup out there for vegetables and herbs. I was just pleasantly surprised with everything. They had very big TVs and had a Western showing like the older programs because the residents are older."

"I had an in-person tour of Broadmoor Court Assisted Living. The tour was very nice. It seemed like the staff was very knowledgeable. One thing I was impressed with was, as they walked me through, they seemed to know the names of everybody we ran into, and all the people that were staying there. They knew them personally. They gave me a very thorough tour. I really liked the dining area and the way they set that up. The rooms were nice. They have the shared rooms downstairs and the single rooms upstairs. I got to tour both, and they seemed adequate. They had singers come in and play music. They had church services at particular times of the week, which I was also impressed with. I think they're faith-based assisted living. They told me that they had some exercise-type things, some sitting down, and some not. I know they walk a lot of the patrons. She took me outside and showed me where they would walk when it was warm. You can walk all the way around the place. I know they have different sitting rooms around. There were puzzles, games, and a TV."

"Mom moved to Bethesda Gardens Monument. I like their whole setup. It didn't look like a typical nursing home. It was very nice. The people are very friendly and it's a smaller community. She's involved in many activities that they have every day all day long. Whether it's music or bingo, art projects or, different tech companies come in. They have entertainment for them, music and stuff like that. The food is very good. They have a different menu every day. They also have a menu that you get to choose from. They have a set menu for every resident unless there's something that they don't like. They have their other menu that has regular sandwiches or hamburgers."

"I toured Legend of Colorado Springs. What I liked best was that it's new, has wide halls, and the people looked like they were having a good time while we were there. I saw people doing activities. The room was pretty much similar to all of those, so nothing spectacular about those, but nice. They have all the indoor activities and take you on trips. They have a theater. They don't have a swimming pool, but they have everything most facilities do. The staff member who gave the tour was subbing for someone else who usually does the tours, but she was very nice and thorough."

"My dad moved into Constant Care III Loma Linda and I'm liking it, so far. They have a nice and spacious yard. People are not on top of each other, and there are a lot of good things about it. You could put your own stuff in your room if you want to. The staff there is very nice and very attentive."

"The food at The Lodge at Palmer Point Residential Assisted Living was good. The facility was very clean and nice. When I walked in, there were people around and people to talk to. The staff was very friendly and attentive. It's one giant mansion with eight tiny apartments. You can have assisted living, independent living, hospice, or nursing care. It's everything. If Mom progresses, I won't have to move her."

"I have chosen to put a wait deposit on Liberty Heights. They only have one floor plan. The only thing that bothers me is their stairs, but I guess the stairs would be good exercise. However, the staff member who assisted me was very helpful and very nice. They have a swimming pool, and I have been doing water aerobics. My daughter only chose places that had swimming pools. The rooms were nice, and the square footage is pretty good."

"My mom moved to Brookdale Broadmoor. It's a great place. I like everything there, not only the staff. The people there are happy and they're nice. The staff is awesome. I've eaten lunch with my mom several times. If I could afford to eat my meals there every day, I would. It's a really awesome place all the way around. They have an exercise program. They have crafts and they have people that come in and play the piano and sing. They have a preacher that comes in for every denomination on Sundays. It's a really great place that keeps them busy."

"My husband has been at the Retreat of Sunny Vista in the Memory Support unit for over a month. His admission and transition into the unit has been smooth and flawless (even with the Delta Variant restrictions). The staff members are all very caring, attentive and compassionate. I continue to be very pleased with the communication from numerous departments. I have personally been a R.N. with 45 years of service in hospital areas, therefore the care my husband is receiving had provided me with a wonderful peace of mind and comfort."

"I toured Mountain View Independent Living, and the most important thing is that they made it about me. I had looked at other places, other communities, 55 communities, and trailer parks, and sometimes I waited a long time after we made the appointment, but they made me feel like I was important to them. It was so neat right off the bat, and they wanted to know everything. They wanted to fit what I wanted. I looked at the studio. Three other people and a man lived there. He let us go through his house. He was as welcoming as ever. The person who took me around kept saying that when I would bring up anything, she would say, "Well, now it's all about you." They weren't pushy, and they were awesome. She was the best. She was the one who smiled at me the minute I came in the door. They paid attention to me. The food smelled wonderful when I was there. It's like a restaurant. They're very professional and very clean. Folks were eating when we walked by. I loved the building, which was more than I expected, and the upkeep is great."

"I toured Solista Colorado Springs by Cogir. When I went there, my experience was nothing but very great. No complaint whatsoever. I wouldn't mind going there at all, but I'm checking my options. I have no complaints with their staff. The facility was very clean. It was a friendly atmosphere. The room was lovely. It was big enough and just nice. I had lunch there. The food was excellent. It was a variety. They have choices."

"What stands out is how friendly and helpful all of the ladies are who work there. I couldn't be more pleased with them and their caring attitude. They are careful to work with each patient but not force them to do something if they object. They are quick to attend to my requests and answer my questions. I believe my Mom is well cared for there and am grateful."

"My aunt is at Home Care at Kettle's. They were very, very helpful. They helped me move in quickly and also worked with me until we figured out the money situation. The staff is very helpful, very friendly, and always willing to help me and answer my questions and stuff. The residents are allowed to go outside. They have activities in the basement, although, I haven't seen my aunt go down there. Outside they have something like a gazebo. The nice thing about it is they have a nurse practitioner who comes every Monday. She called me and asked me if she could put my aunt on a prescription and then she worked with me to get insurance with the pharmacy that they use. We got my aunt set up on some medicine and stuff."
