The Gardens Alzheimer's & Special Care is one of my top two choices. It was very clean, seems very well-kept, and they were very good. It would have been very convenient for me as far as visiting. It seemed well-staffed and their programs were similar to the other place. I wouldn't have any qualms about going there for myself, although I was looking for my husband, I wouldn't hesitate if it were for myself. The residents were in there eating, but the lady that took me around just made me take a peek in the dining room and that was it. The staff was very friendly, seemed very knowledgeable and they were able to answer my questions.

The Gardens' memory care was quite depressing. I determined that my wife didn't belong there. There were all these people in wheelchairs and not a single person there made eye contact with me. It was a mournful place. The place itself was beautiful and the staff was very nice and wonderful. It was a very attractive place that wasn't crowded. The dining room looked quite spacious. The location is not out of the way at all. There are a lot of medical facilities within a mile or two.

The Gardens Alzheimer's and Dementia Care facility is located in Yuba City, California. Located amongst other Fremont-Rideout adult care facilities, The Gardens stands out as a stunning, modern building that is pleasing to the eye. I recently visited and toured the facility and found that the staff are just as lovely as the building itself. I was just as thrilled when I entered the building. It is a very nice facility, with high ceilings in the lobby and beautiful decor. The facility has very friendly staff who are willing to answer your questions, no problem. Considering that the facility is for Alzheimer's and Dementia patients, I was very pleased when I was informed that every door exiting the building stays locked. The Gardens takes pride in being a safe and nurturing environment. Some of the things that I particularly liked about the facility would include the choice of semi-private or private rooms, the secured entrance, the activities available all week, and the family support meetings that the facility provides. For those who simply need a little bit of help during the day, The Gardens provides adult day care. Adult day care is designed for families that work and need help caring for their loved one. During adult day care at The Gardens, there is 24 hour supervision, group activities, bingo, dominoes, card games, arts and crafts, cooking classes, garden walks, music therapy, personal care, and medication distribution. I was really surprised by the kindness and understanding of the faculty at The Gardens. They truly are there for you and help make something so difficult, a little bit easier.
