I was looking for a Board and Care for my Mom unexpectedly, I was referred to Blue Skies Ranch, in Tarzana. I called and spoke with Eilene, the owner who also happens to be a RN. Eilene was so sweet, understanding, caring and made me feel so comfortable over the phone. I knew I needed to meet her in person and look at Blue Skies Ranch as a place my mom could be happy at. Eilene came out to meet with me. All I can say is, what a “Gem” she is.    Eilene explained everything to me. By talking with Eilene on the phone and now in person it only reinforced this was the place for my Mom. I took a tour of Eilene’s home and was so impressed,  It was decorated so cute.  There was only going to be 3 or 4 guests and Mom would have her own room. I took a look at what would be Moms room and could picture Mom living there. Eilene is so positive, loving, caring and always looking out for my mother as if she was her daughter.  Eliene takes the time to make a special connection with all her tenants and the family. I completely trust my Mom being at Blue Skies Ranch.    Another “gem” at Blue Skies is Eilene’s daughter Shannon.  The apple didn’t fall far from the tree…Shannon is a spitting image of her mother.  She is so much help and really makes my mom feel loved and important. There are really no words that would do justice to the way Eilene’s runs her Board and Care.  She makes all her tenants feel like they are in their own homes. She keeps her home spotless and smelling so good.  She involves her tenants in meal choices. They play games in the front room. They watch TV and most important they are able to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather here in sunny California. I can’t say enough good and positive things about how Eilene is as a person and how great she runs her Board and Care.

Wow, what a fabulous place to be! Eileen and her staff were so kind and caring to my Mother in law and to all of our family! They kept us informed on how Mom was doing especially during Covid. Moms room was so roomy and had a beautiful view outside. She really liked looking outside from her bed Eileen and her staff would sit and visit Mom and watch TV with her. Mom really enjoyed the home cooked meals and dining with the other residents in the comfy dining table in the family room. We were soo blessed our Mother was able to live in such a wonderful place! Unfortunately Mom passed and Eileen and staff were so comforting to all of us. I hope there is a Eileen and a place like this for me when I am in need ! God Bless Eileen and her staff for all they did to make Mom so happy and comfortable !

We visited the facility with our mother. We were very impressed with how clean and nice the facility was. The staff were remarkable! The head of the facility is very qualified and knowledgeable. I felt very comfortable putting my mom in her hands. As a plus the meals are phenomenal. And my mom was able to bring her dog with her which was such a plus.

Absolutely the BEST place for your loved one. It is such a challenging and stressful thing to decide where is best for the people you love the most. Eilene and her staff offered us a beautiful home and complete peace to know that our mother would be well taken care of in a family environment; way better than the large home she was in previously (especially with Covid). She not only cared for our mother but helped us with many decisions. Our mother had a beautiful room with a nice view; they brought her out to the living room daily to eat and do activities as a family with the other residents. The meals were all delicious family, home cooked and personalized-so much better than the bulk meals at most larger homes. They even had lobster and grilled out for Labor Day; my mom loved it! I had direct communication with Eilene and she always kept us updated to anything going on with my mom. She was with us till my mother’s passing and was so loving to us through a very sad time. I’m more than happy to recommend Blue Sky Ranch; you’re lucky if you get a room there for your loved one!

The perfect choice especially during COVID! Blue Skies Ranch keeps your family member safe without isolating them. This home's layout allows visitors to maintain social distancing with different indoor and outdoor seating areas. Spending time with my Mom was so important to me and having to see her through a window wasn't good enough. Visiting Blue Skies Ranch using protective measures allows for personal contact. It's the perfect choice!!

The rooms at Blue Skies Ranch are far nicer and cleaner than any I saw at the bigger assisted living facilities. Each resident here had their own private room and daily care. When looking at places for my grandma, I was never excited about sending her to a big facility. It seemed like it would be difficult to spend time with her there, and she wasn't too excited about the thought herself either. At Blue Skies Ranch, I feel like I'm inside of a real home. The staff is extremely loving! Eilene is one of the sweetest nurses I've met and so are Eva and Gladis There is a pool, a couple of little doggies running around, and a neighborhood horse in the backyard. The residents all have a nice home cooked meal together almost every night. I would certainly recommend Blue Skies Ranch to anyone looking to put their loved one in a facility that provides around the clock care, but also allows very convenient visitation. My favorite part about Blue Skies Ranch is that I am able to come see my loved one often, but also don't have to worry when I'm not there! I can trust that she's getting good care, and is far more comfortable in this home-environment than she ever has been in the past with a larger facility! :)
