I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My wife is a resident of Marin Terrace. It's very clean. They keep it good. The people who run the place treat the people who live there like family, which is what I love. They all love my wife. She likes being there. They can go wherever they want in the facility if they want to roll around and look at the different areas or go out into the back patio or whatever they want to do, they usually can, and they serve very good food there. The treatment is excellent. They pay attention to them. They'll walk by and they'll stop and talk to them. They'll play and they joke with them. It's just really nice to see. I eat there every day. It's not gourmet cooking, but it's simple and very tasty. The cook has been there for over 20 years and they have two cooks, one of them in the morning for breakfast and lunch, and then they have another guy come in for dinner and snacks, and he is very good also. They have different things happening. I play music there on Saturday nights and Sunday nights during dinners. They have a piano player come in every day for lunch, and they have a little bingo game they do sometimes. They have a lady come in, twice or three times a week in the mornings for arts and crafts and stuff like that. They have impromptu stuff when there are enough people to participate in the dining room there, that's where most of the activity happens. My wife hangs out there almost every day, and they talk and watch TV. It's the best place I've found for the amount of money that I'm spending.

My wife was at Marin Terrace. It was nice. There was a lot of room for them to walk. They had a long hallway where people could walk up and down. They served good meals. The staff was helpful and caring. They had quite a few activities. They had some guy come in and sing songs with them. For my wife, they used to have a box full of material, and she would pull the strings out of the material to keep her occupied, but later I found that they kept her doped up. She couldn't stay awake when I came to visit her, so I didn't like that. Our overall experience was OK, and then all the staff moved out and then it went downhill.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My granny stayed at Marin Terrace for a few weeks while she was dying on hospice. From the minute we walked through the door, we were greeted with kindness and care. Darnell is a total character and runs the place well. The staff have the most wonderful, loving hearts and treat the residents like family. I'd never been in an assisted living facility before and to be honest, it made me really sad at first to know that there were these older people that their families weren't carrying for. I guess not every family is able to care for their elders (we needed around the clock care for my granny while we was dying, but were there a lot). But what I noticed was the love and care the staff provide was really beautiful. Marin Terrace isn't fancy, but it's warm and safe and staffed by beautiful people. Thank you wonderful workers of Marin Terrace from all of Ewell's family.

My mom hasn't been at Marin Terrace that long. The atmosphere is pretty nice and it looks appealing. I like their executive director, who is very outgoing and personable. They have a nurse on staff; I'm also pretty impressed with him. The other staff members that I met seem to be very nice. They like my mom a lot. I like the rooms. My mom has a pretty big room. It has a sliding glass door and one whole wall is glass, which is beautiful to look outside. There are no activities going on now because of social distancing. They have a nice living room with a couple of big TVs, and they have a nice terrace in the back that overlooks a stream.

I visited this facility

I like Marin Terrace; in fact, it’s the main one I am considering. Everybody seemed nice, and the rooms were big and spacious. The semi-private has plenty of room and really looks good. The dining room was setup very nicely, and I remember seeing the menu -- looks good. Somebody plays the piano. It’s got somebody in the front where the door is. It seemed pretty a safe place. The only thing drawback was two rooms share a bathroom, but it was clean, and I liked it.

The Best Assited living facility in Marin County

Marin Terrace has the most courteous staff and secure place. They gave me the peace of mind that my Dad is in good hands and he is.
