Franciscan Convalescent Hospital

My mother is in Franciscan Convalescent Hospital. The staff is very nice. They're easy to talk to. They do what I ask when I need something for my mom. Her room is clean. They're cleaning all the time. They have bingo every day. They have games. I see that every day they do activities with the other residents, but she doesn't do therapy when they ask her to. They have CNAs and one nurse. The social worker is nice. She doesn't like the food there. She says they give her the same thing every day. I tasted some things, and it's not bad. The facilities need some work. There are holes in the walls inside the rooms, like they need a paint job or something.

Right now, my husband is in Franciscan Convalescent Hospital. He has Alzheimer's. I think he's getting good care for what they have to deal with. I think they're very caring. With regards to the condition of the place, everything in there is old, but it's clean, and it doesn't smell bad unless somebody has an accident, and they get to it right away. So it's clean, but it's just an older facility. I haven't eaten their food, but I've been there when my husband is eating, and it looks pretty good. The activities are very limited. I would like to see more outside activities with them. They have a nice fenced-in area in the back with a bird terrarium. They have someone in there that keeps them busy, plays music, and plays games with them.
