"We checked the assisted living facility of Brookdale Loma Linda for my dad, and he will be moving there. When they took us around, they explained quite a bit. They showed us where certain areas were and what they offered. They were pretty friendly. The room that we found for my dad is the right size for him. The other ones we saw were pretty roomy. I noticed that the place was pretty clean and well-kept. The dining area was also pretty clean. When I went through there, everybody was sitting down and eating. The only thing I didn't like was that there was no parking on one side of the street. You either have to park across the street or drop the person off, and then you have to find a parking spot inside their facility."

"My girlfriend was staying at the Villas at San Bernardino. They took very good care of her. They were always thoughtful and considerate of her and of whatever needs that we had. I am grateful and her family to the Villas. I'm very pleased with their service. They took care of her up until the end. They made sure that whatever needs that she had, they would notify me. She just loved being there. That's all that you can ask for as an assisted living. The people there that they hired that serviced her, when I saw them, they did it with a smile. They would always share something about her. It just made a difference how people treat one another and their caring and thoughtfulness of her. If she wasn't feeling well, they would call the family immediately. We always knew what was going on. They have bingo, art activities, singing and dancing, and Bible study. If they want to get their hair done, they have a beautician right there. They play games. They watch television. They have a whole lot of activities going. Every month, they're doing some kind of party or something. I was very impressed with their service. I just hope that people going into the Villas get the care and service that I got and she got from there. The director was always hands-on."

"My dad will be moving into Manzanita Village at Rancho Belago's memory care. We just wanted him in a facility with lots of care, and it's a beautiful facility. During our tour, they were informative. We walked through the facility, and it was clean everywhere. The residents were dressed and looked clean, too. They have plenty of staff and I think they had an on-site nurse. They also seemed friendly."

"We toured The Lakes. It was extremely clean and updated, and the residents seemed happy. The staff was very knowledgeable and also sympathetic to the situation."

"We toured The Grove Assisted Living. They have two floors for anyone that chooses independent living, and all the rest of it is assisted living. It is pretty good that they accommodate both. All the amenities that they have are great. They only have limited parking at the facility. I like that they utilize the off-property parking as well, but the lighting was not too good over there walking through the neighborhood and coming home, so it's kind of dangerous for the seniors. That's the only problem I have. They serve food basically all day long. When they're not serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, there are places where you can get snacks, so it is still food."

"I liked Westmont of Riverside a lot, but it was very huge for my sister. She probably would be better off with a smaller facility. I saw a cafeteria. I saw two studios. I saw their entrance, and basically we walked from the entrance to a wing, which was a good distance. They're set up to where people are a good distance from administration, which I wasn't really happy with. If my sister were to be there and she needed administrative business to be conducted, it would be very difficult for her to get there. It was quite clean. There seemed to be the occasional attendant in each wing, but I didn't see a lot of people milling about. It was nice to see that it was not too crowded, but on the same token it was also disconcerting that people were so far apart from help. The staff member was conscientious, and I connected well with them. She was quite friendly with the help, and courteous with the clients. I would still give them a very high score because they are a premium facility. They are selective in their clientele. They explained that people needing more than one person in attendance were not good applicants. My sister is not a good applicant, not that she needed more than one attendant at a time, but because she needed an attendant to get her up. That would mean someone would have to be with her, and that's not something that they're geared to do."

"We're very happy with Citiview Residential Care. It's a 100% match of what my dad would like. They are staffed sufficiently, and all of them are very attentive and professional. We looked at the menu, and I think it suits the clientele. It's a big property with gardens, a big patio, a big front, and a driveway with trees and sitting areas."

"We're very happy with Erwin Lake, and my father has been there since early December. He is bedridden at this point, so there is not an awful lot that he can do as far as external activities. He hasn't complained about the food, the people there take care of him very well, and his room is very nice. All indications are that he is happy there. "The location of Maple Guest Home was perfect. The facility was excellent. I liked the patient-to-staff ratio. Everyone was very professional. I feel that they would be able to perfectly supply the need that we need for my mom. They have a place outside. Mom likes outside to where she can be nice and comfortable and get sunshine. I liked the whole atmosphere."

"The Camelot has been upgraded. It's in the price range that I can afford. Everything's provided in the cost and they have different specials at different months. It seemed like it was pretty well taken care of, and the dining room and all of the facilities seemed adequate. They're newly painted apartments. It looked like the menu was pretty good. The staff answered all our questions. She was very knowledgeable and easy to talk with. We could have had a meal there if we had been there during the mealtimes, but we weren't, so we didn't taste the food."
