I chose Marina Pointe Healthcare & Subacute because of the service, and they're very nice. Besides that, they have wonderful trees, which I love. I go sit in the backyard, and it's marvelous. It's like being in a forest with a waterfall, too. I like everything. They have a very good gym. The service is excellent. They're very helpful. They take care of all my needs, and they give you your food and everything else. The staff is very nice. Cleanliness is excellent. I have no problem with this place at all. The food depends on what each person needs. I am on dialysis, so they give me food that helps me feel better. I can't eat certain foods because my potassium goes up, so they're very good at that. They're very careful about what they give me.

Marina Care Center was a little shaky to begin with, but it's getting better as they are beginning to know my mother better and evaluate her better. My mom is improving, standing, and taking steps. She's also using the bedside commode and they're going to help her more with those functions. They have activities. The food seems to be very good, and my mom always enjoys eating. They have different churches, magazines that they pass out, board games, bingo, and catching and pushing the ball back and forth.

We found Marina Pointe for my grandmother. The nurses are all very nice and take great care of my grandmother. She shares a room with two other people, though. They need more up-to-date equipment, beds, and things of that nature.
