"I like all the activities at Aqua Ridge of Montclair, as well as the socialization, and the fact that I don't have to cook. They have three meals a day in a restaurant-style setting. The staff was very friendly. They offer transportation to doctor appointments. They have exercise rooms and a hair salon (they have a person outside the community who comes in once or twice a week for that). The facilities were very clean and very pretty."

"I went to Claremont Place Senior Living. That one was very nice. Just as nice as the one over there in Chino Hills. It's very calm in there. It was clean. You don't smell anything. And everything was so perfect in that place. The staff was very friendly. They have very nice rooms. They cater to the elderly. They had fold-down benches and the shower was nice."

"Brookdale North Euclid was nice and clean. The patients there seemed super happy. They were playing bingo when we walked in. It was beautiful. The staff was nice, patient with us, and explained everything."

"My 96 yr old mother moved into Sunrise over 2 months ago and she says she should have done it sooner! The staff is amazing, caring, concerned and learned my mother’s name as well as us, her daughters very quickly. The staff made the move in so easy and were able to give us great advice to make it easier. My mother loves the food. The menu are incredible, something for everyone no matter what your tastes are. There are so many varied activities, something for everyone. Once a month they invite the family for a themed dinner: Christmas, New Year’s, Valentine’s Day etc. The decorations are amazing as well as the table center pieces. And the food is soooo good! We haven’t missed one since we attended the first one. My mind is so at ease knowing my mother is well cared for 25/7 by wonderful and caring people. Would highly recommend Sunrise yo anyone!"

"My aunt and uncle moved to Bayshire Yorba Linda. They can accommodate a lot of things. The grounds are kept clean and the atmosphere is very inviting. It was very spacious. It didn't seem like everything was kind of crammed in. The people that we met there were very helpful and very kind. We haven't run into any problems as far as helping my aunt and uncle. The food is very good. My uncle is not as social as my aunt. Even within memory care, they have a lot of activities to stimulate their brain, and to keep them busy. We've been very happy with the available activities. The value of memory care is awesome. It's pretty reasonable."

It's a very clean place and the staff is very friendly and right on point about exactly what's going on. They know everything. It's a very well-structured building. I've seen them put out bingo nights, They have other entertainment that goes on on the property. They have a big TV room with the ladies that are always sitting in there talking and there's a library. The activities are overall very good. The value for the money is good."

"Villagio at Capriana is a great community, but we have been going through some issues with addressing Mom's medications and agitation. Other than that, the staff has been attentive and very easy to communicate with. I've tried the food only when they have community events and it's been exceptional. The facility is beautiful with very well manicured and landscaped grounds. It's clean and safe. Their activities were the best that we had seen. They have a rich activities calendar and they do a good job with engaging a large majority of the residents in daily activities."

"Oakmont of Capriana is relatively small, like 100 people, and it's a CCRC, which is what we're looking for. In the independent living, the apartments were relatively large with high ceilings and they had nice views (the place we're looking at has a view of a garden and a koi pond). Then over beyond, there's a pool. It had all the amenities: the gym, the library, and things like that. The staff was all very helpful. Everybody was friendly. They responded to phone calls and they were just very good. We had great food there and we met with residents and talked with them. It was a good experience. They also do a great job with the cleanliness."

"We toured A Silver Amore Senior Home. What I liked best was that it was very spacious. It was a relatively modern home. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the residents seemed happy. I liked that it was all female, so my mother would be comfortable with just all women about the same age. They had two rooms that were private rooms and the others were shared rooms. But even in the shared rooms, they had a nice partition, like a hospital, and the partition was up from the ceiling, so you would have your privacy there. And everybody seemed to be happy there, so that's what we liked. I only saw the woman who ran it, a registered nurse, and that was a plus, and then there was another woman there doing the cooking. The structure was very well maintained. The layout was very nice. It was like one grand room; the kitchen, the dining area, the den, and the family room were all in one space. It was very nice, so it would be easy to move back and forth, and a separate room where families could visit more individually. If they came to visit, they could sit on the couch, and there was a little dining table there, too. You can have food or something like that. So, that part was very nice, too."

They try to keep the layout from a different floor the same for more comfort, and they're more trained to specialize in caring for dementia patients. It didn't seem as upkept; it was a little outdated."
