My mother-in-law is at Pacific Coast Manor. The facility is very small and clean. Everybody is very friendly there. My mother-in-law is eating everything. She hasn't complained at all about the food, and she's a picky person. The rooms were small. My mother-in-law's insurance company is paying for it. She has been getting really good care.

My sister is in the Pacific Coast Manor. It was clean and nice, everyone seems to take care of the patients quite well. The staff is helpful and seemed caring. She doesn't like the food, the vegetables were all overcooked. My sister is in physical therapy every day. We're not paying right now because Medicare is taking care of it. The outdoor space is nice and she likes to sit outside, they have a little patio. The room is just basic and she rooms with another person.

My mother is in Pacific Coast Manor. The establishment is pretty, but their staff has way too much to do, and their quality of care is not good. They'll give my mom a suppository and when it kicks in, she would be pooping all over herself and people don't come back and deal with her, so they have to painfully move her to clean the bedding. She would go a day or two without even getting her teeth brushed. I'm definitely not satisfied. When we initially put my mom in almost four years ago, they had a 5-star rating, but it's gone down to a 3 in four years. I wouldn't see anything bad about the individuals because they're all really sweet and genuine. It's staffing issue. There's not enough time for the staff to care for my mom. The food is like rehydrated potato. The facility looked nice and extremely clean, but there are pretty big communication breakdowns there. Things are said and agreed to do, and then the following week, I'll get the same complaint. Most of the residents felt like they were rushed, they weren't listened to, and their needs were not being met because the staff was always in such a hurry.

I was on the Rehabilitation side of Pacific Coast Manor after having Total Knee Replacement in December, 2014. The caring staff, from administration to the nice guy fixing the television, to physical therapy, all my needs were met. They all exceeded my expectations. I am having my other knee done and hope to be able to return to PCM.

I was in Pacific Coast Manor for rehab. It was good. It was actually rated the highest in the county for what it is, but it was not as good. I was there for a month. The room was clean. The food was fair. Most of the people were kind, but we had difficulty with one nurse. In terms of activities, they had a good rehabilitation exercise room, a lovely garden and a little walk path. My suggestion for them is possibly additional staff because they seemed a little short-staffed.
