"My mother is in the assisted living at Hermann at the Victorian Place. All the people there are very helpful. Everytime I have had to call or visit my mother, the staff is so helpful. Most of my mom's kids are out of state, and we are so thankful that she is there in Victorian Place. Keep up the good work! "

"I visited Elsberry Missouri Health Care Center. They're very clean. They just added on a part, and the structure was very good. They have things and stuff for them to play. The staff was very personable with the people, and they're very friendly. They keep the place real clean."

"They had 30 days to prepare for my friends arrival... But room was not cleaned! Previous redidents dentures and used bathroom items left on the shelf. Hair and dust on the sink and shelf by mirror made it obvious The bathroom was not cleaned and disinfected as it should be! The carpet in room was certainly not shampood... it wasnt EVEN VACUUMED! Worse yet.... the head nurse who was left in charge was not told to expect my friend to move in that day! "

"We toured Oak Pointe Assisted Living. It was very nice, beautiful, clean, and neat. Everything was just wonderful, the rooms, the facilities, and the big dining area. It's very well and modern. We did eat there but weren't as crazy with the food as in the other facility that we went to."

"We visited Oak Pointe of Washington and it was very nice. The staff seemed very nice, the place was very, very nice, clean, and the room that we looked at was really a nice, spacious room. I would have had no complaints with my parents moving there. We went in just to basically see what the room looked like, to see if it was someplace my dad would wanna go with mom when she got out of the hospital."

"We toured The Arbors at Victorian Place. It was very nice. I really liked it a lot. The layout was good. Everything about it was good. I did not try their food, but their dining area was very nice. The staff was so nice and so friendly. The whole atmosphere felt like home away from home. The physical conditions were very good. They provided activities to the level of each patient."

"It's so hard to pick a care center for a loved one. I'm so glad I went with KCSL for my mom. The nurses who worked with my mom and our family went out of their way to make us feel like we all belonged together. They loved my mother even on their hardest days with her. They planned many ways to keep my mother safe from herself (from falls/trying to leave/etc) and yet make sure she was cared for in every way that I would. The building was clean (it didn't have that aged smell). The dining area and halls always looked clean as I was passing by. The food was plentiful and tasty. The staff engaged the residents when passing in the halls. The staff communicated with me by phone often. They would notify me of changes made to mom's care and health. They discussed the concern they were hoping to change and welcomed my decision. My only complaint is the rooms were pretty small. A few day rooms helped to create a place to visit when more family than myself would go visit."

"My 20 year old son can take care of himself but he is in a condition wherein he needs supervision. Jefferson Lodge provides a better and quick help for him. The staff there is very excellent in helping him out. His room may not be that big but it should be more than enough for him. "
