Victorian Place of Owensville was excellent, but I ended up leaving because they fired the manager, the lifestyle coordinator, and the activity director out there. I was there for several years, probably at least ten years before they fired the manager and the activity director. They do outreach for benefit, like a fishing derby in their pond and so many other activities. They are always actively doing something to raise money for Alzheimer's, dementia people, or disabled people. The grounds were beautiful and they're kept up pretty well. The room was a better size than the one I have now. The staff was excellent. They had very good cooks. They had an actual chef there. They had a very good person who ran the dietary department and the dining room. They don't have as many residents now, but the same residents that I was once there with are still there. The food was pretty good because they had a chef. They would let us have choices as to what we wanted to eat. The staff could be a little bit better with the CMAs and the med aides. They couldn't keep good help. When I was there, I pretty much did most of the activities along with the residents.
