"My mom will be moving into Lassen House Senior Living. I liked that everybody was happy and smiling. They had daily activities. They also had a nice courtyard. The room that my mom was going into had a nice view into the courtyard with all the flowers and a nice lawn. Everybody was friendly and helpful. They had a nice menu. I had rosemary chicken and rice, and I enjoyed it. They have a beauty salon, bingo every day, chair yoga, people coming in and singing, and other activities throughout the week. They also have a doctor that comes in. Everything was painted nicely. They had chairs down the hall, so people could sit down if they got tired. It smelled like Lysol, but it was clean."

"My husband is in A Touch of Heaven. He was there a couple of years ago. He spent about two months up there or three, and then I brought him home. He did very well. About a month ago, he began to slip back, and now he can't walk. I can't take care of him at home. I'm very happy with it. It's a nice place. It's very quiet. I like the people there. They're very good with him. It's friendly, and it's clean. They're very much on top of what has to be done. They take care of his meds. The food is good. He is always clean. He has a shower a couple of times a week. It's very nice and small. It might have maybe 20 people. I don't think there's any more than that. The price was right for me. They don't have a lot of activities, but he doesn't participate. They have movie night and stuff like that. The women had jigsaw puzzles and they played some kind of a game to make you use your brain. He's got his computer and he pretty much does what he wants to do."

"The Vistas Assisted Living and Memory Care was very clean, and they seemed pretty friendly. The landscaping and all that was very nice. They did not have any units available, so the staff showed us one of the residents that was open to sharing her apartment. It was nice. It was a good one, but they're kind of on the upper end in terms of price. There were a couple of things that I thought were a little odd, like in their dining, they have assigned seating. I thought that was strange. The other place we went to encouraged everyone to mingle and meet people, which I think is better than having to sit with the same people all the time. They had a little kind of garden patio. The staff who gave me the tour was very nice."

"Mom was in memory care at Oakmont for 4 years. She felt so comfortable at Oakmont, they almost felt like family to her which is very important with her having Dementia. Even when I was there in the evenings the staff always made sure that they got her ready for bed and then they allowed me to get her in bed. Staff is very attentive to all residents. If your looking for a place for your loved one check out Oakmont you won't be disappointed."

"My dad will move into By the River Assisted Living. It's a beautiful home. There are only five people there, and it's like a house setting. The lady who owns the home, he used to be her boss, so they know each other. I liked it. It was very homely, the staff seemed to be very friendly, and I think it would be a good fit there. It's small, they have meals at the table, and it's all nice and clean. They have a nice big yard and a gardener. It's right on the river, and they have chickens and a dog, so it's just really nice. They do all his medication control, they cook all his meals, they do his housekeeping, and they make him shower a couple of times a week. We saw the staff preparing the food; it looked fresh."
