"This place has been such a blessing for our family. It's always clean and peaceful, which helps create a calm environment. My grandma's room is tidy and comfortable, just the way she likes it. The food is fresh and well-prepared. She enjoys her meals and always mentions how nice everything tastes. The staff here really make the difference. "Sparr Heights Estates Senior Living is going through some remodel phase, but it was nice just the way it is right now. The rooms were nice. We walked around the facility and I was shown Jack and Jill rooms, grandma rooms and grandpa rooms, and the styles. It's a nice facility. I met the nurse that's in charge there and I spoke with some of the assisted living staff. There are two different sections. They have the memory area as well, and I met their staff, too, and they were nice. They were setting up one of the rooms for a birthday celebration. In the assisted area, they were having lunch, and it looked like they were enjoying their lunch. They made cupcakes for them and the staff gave me some cupcakes, which are very tasty, very nice, and decorative. They gave you the option of the different parts of the facility for assisted living or mental healthcare. They have to be evaluated whether or not they'll be on either side. There were two separate sections at that facility. If both of my parents were to go there and one had to be in the assisted living part, then one would live on one side and one on the other. With the capacity that my father's at, I think they could stay together. They would evaluate that, but they do have that option. They talked about still having them come together and working with both of them at the same time. They had a lot of activities there for them, bingo, puzzles, and books. It's a large facility. It was nice and the rooms were nice, also. It's a beautiful facility."

"I went and toured Nikkei Senior Gardens, and I liked it. I like the cleanliness of the place, and the way they include their employees, and feed them lunches so they know how good the food is for their residents. They make the employees feel cared for which carries down to caring for the seniors or the residents, it was very eye-opening. Everybody was so kind, their programs were top-notch there, and everything was so organized. I think it's worth the value or the amount of money they charge. I like everything about it. And if the resident is Japanese and they don't speak the language well, this would be the place, and that's also what got me to that place. They feed them traditional food if they would like, and about 90% of people there speak the language, which is very important to us. The staff all seemed very happy too, to be working there. The cleanliness of the place was amazing, it was spotless, and they offer a lot of games for the residents and they keep them busy, and then they also have a beauty shop there. It's great, it is amazing, I'd live there."

Heart to Heart Health Care is a Congregate type facility. Which is a small private sub-acute facility. At this facility we have 12 Beds total. Types of patients that would qualify for this type of facility would be: respiratory patients. These patients must have tracheostomy (A tube inserted in the neck or be on ventilator.) Also at this facility we provide colostomy care. "The rooms each resident had exceeded my expectations when I first visited. All of the residents are super friendly and very welcoming. The staff is also very helpful and care a whole lot about the residents and make them feel like they are they top of the world. "

"Activities with Robert are fun and enlightening. I love eating in the dining room. The staff cares. They are always willing to help. I love watching movies with friends. To me, it seems like the space in my room is treated in an improper way. You get enough room for the living room, but it takes away from the bedroom. Outdoor is only a yard, and that's about it. The response to room service is very poor. If I call, 'You come and help me in my room,' they get here two or three hours later."

"My grandmother is a resident at this Board and Care currently, and I could not say enough about them. The administrator Vilbert and his staff are very caring people. My family has piece of mind knowing that my grandmother is in good hands and in safe and clean environment with great food always. Another plus about this place is that the administrator/owners are nurses and are able to monitor my grandmother health condition and report anything new to her physicians if needed. I really recommend this place to people who care where they place their loved one at. My grandmother was transferred from a nursing home to this board and care and we see a big difference in her mood. She always has a smile on her face now because the staff are very nice and they have fun activities everyday. "

"My mother has been at this facility going on 6 years I believe. We have been very fortunate that the staff is great and keeps a close eye on her as they do with everyone else. In the last year they have been taken on by new ownership and they are remodeling everything. There is now wifi throughout the entire building which is a first and very useful. The hallways have been re-done and look very clean and nice. Very well lit as well for visibility. There's a security camera system set up now which gives us peace of mind in regards to security. The staff has always been the best and have gone above and beyond for my mother. The staff is a very important asset to this facility. Front of house are fantastic and are a phenomenal staff composed of amazing people. They are always attentive and go above and beyond to accommodate my mother's needs as well as everyone else's. Back of house in the kitchen is also staffed with amazing people. They’re attentive and try to make everyone smile while serving them. The nurses who issue medications, are awesome and always upbeat. The maintenance crew are always on top of keeping up the building in good shape. The director is phenomenal and has done a stellar job of maintaining the standard of Leisure Vale high and it hasn't been an easy task. All in all we are very pleased with Leisure Vale."

"My mom likes the staff at Valley Vista Senior Living. When she needs assistance with something, she says that they're her angels. She has introduced me to some of the people who have helped her, so I think that's important. I looked at about 10 different communities in a 10-mile radius, and one of my favorite things about Valley Vista is that the building was designed as a senior living facility. The doorways are wide in case somebody is in a wheelchair, and the shower is designed for somebody who needs assistance. Even the bathroom doors are very wide in case somebody has a walker or wheelchair to get in and out. The sinks don't have cabinets underneath them, which is helpful for somebody who is walking with a walker. The rooms and all of the common areas were designed practically for somebody who has issues and can't walk on their own. My mom is 92, and so she needs to use a walker. Sometimes, if she's too tired, they will use a wheelchair to take her down to the dining room or something. I like the design of the rooms. They're bright. It doesn't feel dingy. The facility has a very high ceiling. Some of the places we looked at were so depressing that I thought I could never have my mom live here. Some of them felt almost like dungeons. However, Valley Vista has a lot of natural light. It's a very attractive building. One of my least favorite things is that it is on a very busy boulevard. I knew that going in, but it doesn't seem to bother my mom, so I'm fine with that. I've joined my mom for lunch about three times. The dining room staff members are very sweet. However, I don't think they had the time to put fresh tablecloths on. There have been a couple of times when the tablecloths looked stained or had crumbs on them. They didn't wipe them off or change the tablecloths. However, the plates and the silverware are clean. They have tablecloths and then placemats over them, and sometimes they need to be changed. There are a lot of activities; my mom just hasn't taken advantage of them. When I look at the calendar, they have a lot of nice things. I think she has only done one activity since she has been there, and this was her seventh week there, but she is still new, so I have to give her time. With regard to value for money, they're in the ballpark of all the places that I looked at. Some of the places that were priced equivalent to Valley Vista, their facilities were not as nice. There were a couple that we also looked at that were more expensive, but the facilities themselves weren't necessarily nicer."
