"My girlfriend's brother is a resident of Hacienda Senior Living Assisted Living & Memory Care. They are good. They have certified staff there and nurses 24 hours. They are caring and attentive. He's a picky eater, and he tends to eat it, but it's a healthy balance. Say if you have diabetes, they have a special diet for people who have diabetes. The facility is very clean. They have an outdoor space with a fountain."

"My dad went to The Village Hemet for assisted living. It was a really nice place and he was there for about 10 months. The nurses were there, and they were on top of medications. The residents weren't as active. They tried to do activities. They would wheel my dad down for singing groups and for Valentine cupcakes but when you're confined in a wheelchair and more immobile, it is harder to get someone to participate. They had in-house beauty shop. They had very good foods and my dad liked it. It was a really nice place. They had very caring staff. Their rooms were studio rooms that had separate bathrooms. The rooms were bigger. My dad had a room to put a recliner and a table. He had a television, a small table, and a chair to sit down to if he has company. It was nice and the price was comparable to others."

"I went here and it was clean. There were several people there who were just having the best conversation and talking, and the people I met there were very nice. I was impressed with the room that my friend would have gotten. But the main thing is that the women sitting there were enjoying themselves like it was their home. They were talking to each other and having a good time, and that's what impressed me most. The staff was very knowledgeable. The facility was set up very nicely and very homey."

"I visited Mission Commons. They were very nice. I only saw one room, which was nice. It sounded like they had something going on almost every day. I visited the dining area, and it looked very homey. "

"When we went to Pico De Loro, I noticed the people didn't look lively, almost like there was little engagement. I know that they were engaging with them, but maybe it was the setting. They were nice, and it was clean, but it seemed only surface clean. It looked a little grungy and dusty. It had a horrible smell the minute we walked in the door. The person who took us around was nice, and they had a peacock on the ground and a colorful parrot like a macaw bird."

"My father has lived in the independent living section of AFVW for the past year and a half. And boy do I mean, "LIVED." Dad he should have moved there 10 years ago. However, as a regular visitor, I am also a big fan of my friends who now live in assisted living. Mostly because the people in independent living continue to include them in their activities. Assisted living means just that. Assistance; just as needed. Those in assisted living remain involved in daily life. Separately, was amazed to discover although AFVW has both on-site medical offices for doctor visits....the doctor as well as the x-ray machine, makes house calls! Yes, in the independent living section. Don't feel like going out for medicine? No problem. Medication, just like pizza, is delivered. Last, the people are great and highly involved in the management. This strikes me as the key difference between communities that are run for-profit by professional management teams, and those that are run by non-profits. It strikes me when residents are involved in the executive decision making process, this makes for a better experience. "

"I recently moved my mom from a large memory care facility into the Hillsong house. This was the best decision I’ve made regarding my mom’s care – the Hillsong folks have been taking excellent care of her since day one. The owner Carina has gone above and beyond to make sure she is comfortable. Carina is a very honest and caring individual – this is reflected in the atmosphere she has fostered in the house. The signup and move in process was very straightforward and easy. My mom has received more individual attention and care than when she was at the larger, more expensive facility. I even receive text updates on how my mom is doing, which really helps my peace of mind. I’m so thankful that I found Carina and her fabulous house. I wholeheartedly recommend Hillsong. "
