We moved to LifeStream at Youngtown North Campus. It's just a nice quiet place to live. When you need something maybe not immediately, they do send over maintenance pretty much that same day. There are no loud noises. It's nice and quiet. There are no kids running around. It's just peaceful, and I've met a lot of nice people. The staff is nice. I don't have anything negative to say about them. The meals that we had were very good. It's so nice here. We've downsized somewhere from where we used to live, and it's so much nicer. It's not so big. It's easy to clean. We just love this place. All utilities are included in our rent, which is nice, including the cable TV.

We're moving from LifeStream at Youngtown North Campus because the services are so inadequate, and I would not want anyone to walk into this situation with their eyes closed. It has been under new management for over a year, and they have done next to nothing to improve the property, and people are moving out constantly. One of the reasons that I'm so disgruntled is because they have a cord you're supposed to pull when you have an emergency, and my husband had an emergency last weekend where he fell in the bathroom, so I pulled the cord, and no one showed up. And, of course, they had a million excuses why it might have happened, but no apology and no explanation why. The police were the ones who told me that this system was not working. There are people here that are so great, staff-wise. They have been here for over 15 years. They've been through more than one management change, and if it wasn't for them, nobody would be here. In terms of the appearance of the place, it's very bland. There's no landscaping here. It's very seldom. I've been here nine months and I've seen people come to groom the grounds only once. It's very dry and very sandy. The security is insufficient. No security checks. No emergency plans. I even asked the director once what happens if there's an emergency. What is the evacuation plan? And he couldn't answer me, and he has since quit. They offer you only one meal a day with some alternatives if you don't like the one meal they're serving. But my husband and I ordered the same thing every day because the food was so poor. We order salads. The staff is the best thing about this place, but they're holding it up with one hand. These people work hard, everybody except the housekeeping. Housekeeping does very little. They won't change your bed once a week, even if you provide them with bed linens. They do everything minimally in housekeeping. For activities, they mostly play cards, and have bingo. There was someone who was doing Wii bowling until he moved and now no one's doing it.
