I moved into Proveer at Byrd Springs. I had been here before, and I was familiar with the people that worked here, and they've got a really good price. They're good. They have good staff here now. They seem to know what they're doing. A lot of times they have a good meal, but sometimes they don't have something that I like. They have bingo, and they play cards and that kind of stuff. They're going to be remodeling the place pretty soon. They have a place where you can get your hair done. I've been to more expensive places that were not this good. They called me and asked me to come back, so I did. It's near a restaurant, but the hospital is maybe four or five miles away.

The tour at Proveer at Byrd Springs was good. I liked the people there. They were undergoing construction, so it was kind of hard to tell what it was going to look like or how it was going to be. The facility was a little bit older. It was well kept for what it was, but it was hard to just get a good feel for it because they were going under construction. The two people we met there were nice. The rooms were probably my least favorite, but they were okay. It seemed well maintained.

I went to Proveer at Byrd Springs for assisted living. The tour was good. They were in the middle of remodeling, so it's going to be nice. The staff members were nice and knowledgeable. I saw a couple of rooms. It's an older building and it had vintage moldings in it, which was pretty. The rooms were nice and big and had good closets. However, I didn't see any activities going on. The staff who gave the tour answered all my questions. She gave me enough time for the tour.

My father has moved into Proveer at Byrd Springs. Currently we're still trying to get adjusted, and so there's been a few hiccups. Truthfully, I was not really happy with our beginnings because they didn't have the room ready like they said they would, and there were things that needed to be repaired, so they are working on them. They're getting them little by little, but they knew well in advance the day my father moved in, and so I'm frustrated with that. So it wasn't a good review for that piece. Otherwise, it seems like they're taking good care of my father. He hasn't had any health issues, getting worse or anything like that. Care wise, I think he's been taken care of. Logistics wise and maintenance wise, these things are not doing very well with that. The reason why we chose them is the price, it is within the range that my father could afford. And they're going to be incorporating memory care. My father's memory will soon be going in that direction, and he will need that, and so we won't have to move him again into a new community. He'll just transition into a different unit at the same place. So that was part of the reason for that. They also have the type of care that he needs. He has dialysis three times a week and they cover the transportation for that and his doctor's appointments, so it relieves me from even having to coordinate all of that outside of him staying there. I have not had a meal there yet. I don't eat pork and they serve a lot of pork. Every time I've been there, they've had a pork meal, but my father has been pretty pleased with the meals. He likes them and comments on that. The place is very clean and very well taken care of. They have stuff going on all the time, but my father is just trying to get involved in there.

SummerHouse Byrd Springs would be my preference for my mom if she can live in assisted living. The staff was friendly. The place was clean and very up-to-date. There's the availability of activities. Just overall a very homey feel. We did not try the food, but it smelled good. They were having a Chinese celebration that day, so the staff had cultural clothing on, and they were doing a cultural menu. The staff described some of the things that they do like they have cookouts and dances and things like that. It sounded like a lot of fun. And I met some of the residents, and they were friendly. I have toured a couple of places, but this is by far our favorite. Cost-wise, overall appearance and interaction with the staff for the price, this was by far our favorite.

I visited and my tour was great. The lady that I met with was very informative and very nice. I had no problems at all. It sounded like a great facility, but I discovered that an assisted living community is for those who do not need nursing care. I realized my dad would not fit there. I saw one room, and it looked just fine. There's nothing wrong with it. The lady that I met with showed me some pictures of the floor plan of what they had to offer, and everything was great. It was a nice facility.

My relative moved in and she seems to like it there. She has friends. They serve three meals a day.

It seemed to have good facilities. I was impressed with it. It wasn't the best facility that we looked at, but it was up there and very satisfactory. They had everything that you need. They had good services, the rooms were attractive, and the people living there were happy. They provide activities, bus tours, transportation to places, games, and entertainment. They didn't have a swimming pool though.

It was gorgeous and had beautiful chandeliers. The rooms were individualized with a cornice on top of each door that looked like it's their own little home. There was a shelf right outside the door that the residents could decorate with whatever they wanted. They made it so personalized. I was very impressed with their dining area because there were linen tablecloths and folded napkins, which made you feel like you're in a restaurant. The residents were very relaxed. When we got there, most of them were outside in the sunshine and drinking hot chocolate.

It was all on one floor and had four wings and a central courtyard that's not accessible from outside the building. Most of their accommodations were single. I think you could have two people living in an apartment. It was very nice, neat, and clean. The staff that we met was extremely friendly. It's assisted living, and they don't have independent living there. None of the apartments had a kitchen. All meals were furnished in the common eating area. It was extremely nice.

It was very good and nice. The lady who helped us was very nice. Unfortunately, there's nowhere to cook, and we don't want to eat the same thing every day. We would like to cook our food ourselves.

It is very nice. People are congenial, and I can imagine I would get the services that most of the other residents do. They have different size rooms, and I have got the smallest one they have. It is just a one-room studio. Food is pretty good most of the time. We have games, Bingo, card games, and church services. We have sing-alongs, and people come to entertain us.

It was a small community. I liked the lay-out of the whole facility. It would have been my choice if my mom had gone into assisted living.
