It was my mothers final home and she had superior care there until the very end. She was treated like family, she called it "Home away from home!"

I went to the Greenbriar At The Altamont. The people there were friendly. I talked with some of the residents and with the staff. It was pretty good. You can park inside the facility, you go down a walkway and you have a greeting desk to your right, and the elevator to your left. We went up the stairs and she gave me a tour of the facility. The facilities were nice. They have things that they can do, they have exercise, they are allowed to go out, and they have an exercise facility. And I like that the people can sit out. The place has history, it has a lot of history. The room was nice, they had a room that was fixed up, it looked spacious. They have a dresser, a bed, a kitchenette, but I think you have to bring your own furniture in. They had a step-in shower, I liked that it wasn't too high. They had Wi-fi, and closet space.

I toured Greenbriar at the Altamont for my mother-in-law. It's downtown and it's all brick. It was beautiful. It was an old hotel. They had skilled nursing, and they had independent living; they had everything. I loved this place. They showed me everything from the apartments to rent to which was the independent living, the rehabilitation services that they had, and the assisted living they had. They showed me the skilled nursing facilities they had, too. I thought the rooms were nice and spacious. The staff was very nice and very helpful. I loved how that little Altamont area is really cute. I think for somebody that's in their late 70s or early 80s, they would love the cuteness and you can hit the streets and walk in the park right across the street. It was just beautiful. They had some good housekeeping options that the other places didn't offer, like laundry services and housekeeping services. They also had a salon. The only thing I didn't like was they only serve two meals a day, and you can't cook in the unit. There wasn't a stovetop, you could have like a microwave and a refrigerator. I guess that's for safety reasons. But the facility was nice.

We chose Greenbriar at the Altamont because of the location and price. The person who gave us the tour was very familiar with the place. The tour was good, but most of the residents were in their rooms because of the virus situation. The facilities were a little bit older, but not to the point where there are maintenance issues or concerns. They gave us an activity sheet. The dining area was spacious and homey.

I'm going to choose Greenbriar at the Altamont. They went out of their way to accommodate my income with the same amenities. They offered me a good price with their 1-bedroom special they have right now. They provide three meals, and they will take you shopping and to see different places. They will also take you to the doctor. They have a lot of activities. The food is OK, but it can be improved.

Greenbriar was at a good price, and it’s in the part of town I am familiar with. The staff and the people were very helpful, friendly, and easy to talk to. They have a lot of activities; some exercise routines, games, painting, and weekly get together with the members. They served breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

I chose Greenbriar on Hanover for my mom because of its proximity to the family and the staff. It is an open facility with a memory care unit where patients have lots of mobility. My mother has a room to herself and is very happy there.

My Mom was in this facility for three months. We chose this facility for its 5 star nurse's rating. My sister and I both believe Mom was neglected while living there. We both visited her frequently. My Mom who had dementia, and was a fall risk, was left unattended in a room where she tried to stand on her own, fell and hit her head, and was left on the floor bleeding and unattended to by a qualified staff member until the paramedics arrived. Mom died two days later. If you love your family members, don't entrust them to Greenbriar's care. The CNAs that are supposed to be caring for the elderly aren't giving the residents the attention and dignity that they deserve.

The Greenbriar was understaffed. They had lots of activities like bingo, and the dining area was small, but it was pleasant. The food was OK.

We had our eyes at Greenbriar for years now and my wife is there. The place is certainly clean. In the nurse's station it looks like there are about 16 people there all the time. She has been taken good care of, but I think they were just too expensive.

This facility inpaticular was a great experience for me and my relative. Staff were always curtious and informative. My first visit there felt like a homewarming party where I got to introduce myself to the staff and management as being a relative of a tenant. Given the nature of the illness my relative had at the time, the staff were very compliant and compassionate to the special needs required by my relative. The facility itself was very impressive with multiple floors, all of which had their own theme and layout. The master ballroom was very impressive and felt like a piece of history and nastalgia. The air conditioning however was another story. The nature of most tenants residing there could not be exposed to long periods of heat and any given time. The AC units were unreliable and when they did work it was luke warm at best. Overall I like the facility, staff were great and the food was good. The confort of the environment could be improved but given the options I would recomend this facility.

Honestly was very impressed with the staff and facilities. My grandmother seemed to think the caretakers were a bit pushy (this comes as no surprise to us), but I found them to be efficient and quite friendly. Excellent food, with great consideration towards diet and nutrition requirements of different individuals. All in all a very clean and friendly place, definitely an exception to the 'Old Folks Home' cliche!
