"Mother goes to Day-Break for day care, and the best thing is they provide bus service, which is a critical need for us. They do Bingo, exercise, and music. They serve lunch. They provide nursing and podiatrist services. They have a game room, a reading room, a TV room, and a big area for functions like Bingo, and any other games they might play. The staff is very helpful and nice and communicate very well with me."

"My mom likes being at this nursing home, staff is very friendly with her and if they suspect anything with her health they quickly send her to get checked with a doctor and they contact me. I visit her every week and have never seen anything bad. They keep her busy with activities, movie nights, games arts and crafts and more. I have walked in and seen how exited the staff is to show me what my mother has done. Thanks to all the staff in Abbott Terrace. "

"ARC-CT is a loving, respectful, clean, and professional care facility. My mother started out in their day care program and then went into assisted living, and then through both levels of advanced stage care aat this wnderful facility. She lost her battle this past Tuesday after four years at ARCC. The love, respect, dignity, and care provided not only to my mother, but to the rest of our family was beyond what any of us ever could have imagined. I cannot even adequately express how thankful I am to have ben fortunate enough to have found such a fantastic facility to care for my angel mother. "

"The section where my husband is located at Saint Mary Home is part of the nursing home, but entirely winged off. The CNAs or the RN administer the medications, but generally, my caregiver is the one who stays with my husband whether he’s in his room or the dining room. Most of the people who are there are very old, so the physical therapist comes to them in their rooms. They do have at least one room for physical therapy, but the physical therapist would sometimes come to my husband’s room to work with him one on one. He’s only been there for about a week, so he’s still getting used to the facility and, of course, wants to come home. He is in a large, shared room with a wall in-between that essentially separates them for privacy, but they do share a bathroom. My husband’s roommate is usually out of his room all day, so he’s very quiet; my husband is the noisy one because of his dementia. The rooms are very nice and adequate. They’re certainly not the Taj Mahal, but they provide what’s necessary for him. "

"A friend recommended Mulberry Gardens of Southington for my mom. It has a warm feeling when you go there. My mom is in a semi-private room. It is big and very clean. They take good care of it for her. I like that they have lots of aides. Every time I go there, I see them talking to the residents. They give good care. Although it is not a nursing facility, they have nurses and when mom gets ill, they bring her to the hospital. It is good that they keep an eye on her. My mom is comfortable living there. I also like that they take the residents in excursions and they even include the ones in the memory care. It is a great facility and I recommend them to others. "

"This is an amazing adult day center for aging adults in our community. I feel at peace leaving my mom at a place where I know she will be taken good care of. The staff is very kind and helpful. The nurses are awesome and keep you updated on everything. My mom loves it! She looks forward to the fun crafts and bingo. They even go on trips! Thank you Day-break for all that you do and the outstanding care you provide to our seniors. (Oh and it’s bilingual - Spanish speaking!!) "

"My family member attends the Regency New Britian location. I love that I have peace of mind knowing my mom has a nurse, PCA and transportation all in one! The staff is friendly, caring and personal.. she is always entertained with games, trips and events. I can always check on their facebook or call them at any hour. The best part is that I can drop mom off at 7am before work! "

"Joseph Tkacz sr attends the "The day Club for memory impaired. They are a wonderful and caring group. They provide fellowship, activities, interaction with clients. They keep them aleryt and happy. My dad has been goingthere for about 5 years. They are a god send to our family. They are the best facility for memory impaired and people with disabilities you can find. They also keep a medical nurse on staff that can monitor the clients. They are 5 stars. They care and concern can not be measured. 5 stars "

"I was able to tour Masonicare at Ashlar Village. You have to purchase to get in there and they had all types of facilities. They were excellent. They offer one meal a day. The staff and the apartments were excellent. They clean the place, and they have all the activities that you can think of. They had 2-bedrooms and 1-bedrooms."

" To start with take your time,do some research..and you will find what you are looking for. I thought for sure at first..I could never find a adult day care for my father. He was 91,and diagnosed with Alzheimer's. My thought was...what kind of a facility would take him. I worried it would be dirty,and under staffed. Well, I found Felician Adult Day Care. And it is a great place.The staff members are wonderful and caring.loving people. They really make my father feel welcomed.He is happy attending their day program. It is clean beautiful building. The arcitechture is lovely. "

Valery Manor was not one of the best nursing home's I've visited. It smelled horrid and the nurses were not very nice at all. The service wasn't great either. It would take a minimum of ten minutes...
