Her daily life is what it is, while they are there they have a positive influence, but once they leave she goes back to doing what she normally does. We have tried other agencies before but when the people they assigned to take care of my mother did not really care about taking care of the clients, but with this agency my mother likes the caregiver and the level of mental comfort to make sure everything is set up.

She scheduled it so when I came home from work, there she was to help me! She asked me when would be the best time for her to come, whereas other ones gave me a time frame they could come. The nurse was always responsive. Even if I had a problem with my sight, she responded immediately. She told me to call her if I have problems any time, whatsoever.

The CNAs are here on a daily basis. Basically, if I didn't have the home care, I would be forced to be stuck in the hospital. I've never had to be that way because of companies where the nurses come to my home. I would just let them know the employees are pretty easygoing and they look out for your best interest.

The caregivers were flexible as far as waiting for us if we needed to get home a little bit later than what was planned. If the worker was running late because of traffic, she would stay later to make up for it. They allowed us to actually go to work until we found daycare.

I fell and broke my leg, so I couldn't help my husband because I couldn't put any weight on my leg. After my husband passed away, I still had my broken leg and couldn't do things like get something to eat.

The caretakers that came out didn't match what was advertised. They were babysitters that just sat there. There was minimal involvement with her. They were there for her safety, but they weren't there for stimulating her which was what brought us to BrightStar Care. We didn't have BrightStar Care for very long.
