I utilized this agency, Bristol Home Health Services, twice with my elderly mother. They are very professional, yet caring and personalized in their service. They provided nursing evaluations once or more a week, depending on the level of care mom needed at the time. An example of their comprehensive attitude, they actually caught something that needed attention that had slipped through the cracks during hospital discharge. I was quite impressed with their evaluations of my mother. They also sent people to help her with bathing, and she found them to be respectful of her modesty. The physical therapists and assistants that came were very involved with her care, and they seemed to be knowledgeable of her particular needs and situation. They assessed her need for equipment, working out the purchase and installation of a raised toilet seat, which was very helpful to my mom. They were available by phone at all hours, although they referred us to the emergency room. Their office has a personal, first name type of feeling, but the care is very professional. Having also used another agency, we decided that we prefer Bristol Home Health Services due to their very caring interest in my mother's progress. They were very good about keeping me, as her primary caretaker, in the loop about what was going on. If I had any questions, they were very glad to explain things to me regarding her care and needs. My mother is currently in a skilled nursing facility for therapy after hospitalization, but when she returns home, I will certainly request the services of this agency again.
