I have been involved with home health for over 20 years, but this is the first time that I have been on the receiving end of the services. Recently, my 88 year old mother needed help and was admitted to Beyond Faith's services. She was very reluctant until she met the staff. She did not want someone to tell her what to do, but as she met the nurse,Michelle, then the Occupational therapist, Kim; the social worker, Meredith and aide Marilyn she decided that she could share her needs with them. She is so happy to have the help as well as she feels that she has lifted the load on her one daughter who works, me. Even though I am a nurse, she sees me as only a daughter. She readily takes instruction from the home health staff. They have assisted her to regain some independence and enabled her to continue living at home with grace. She is taking her medications correctly, ambulating safer as she is gaining both strength and confidence, and learning ways to conserve her energy. The Social worker has identified some long term assistance that she is eligible for so that when home health discontinues, she will have long term plans. They have also assisted her with some end of life decision making. I would recommend Beyond Faith to anyone needing home health services.

In order to keep my father from going to a nursing home we decided to try home health care. We heard good things about Beyond Faith and everything we heard was true. We have someone coming out twice a week to shower and shave my father. We have a nurse drop in every week to check on all his vital signs. We also had a physical therapist and occupational therapist work with him until he got his strength back and is more stable in his walking. I know one day he will need to enter a nursing home, as he is 90 years old, but Beyond Faith helped us postpone that decision for a while.
