Vanderbilt Home Care helped with light housekeeping, preparing meals, and transferring my wife from her wheelchair or her walker to wherever she was going to go. However, we were not satisfied with their service. They didn't provide much assistance to my wife, and their bookkeeping, billing, and getting the information to my long-term care insurance was an absolute mess.

We got the services of Vanderbilt Home Care and it's perfect. They send in a nurse and a caregiver. The caregiver has a very good attitude. She has been doing this kind of work for many years and knows all about what she is doing.

I have had several interactions with Vanderbilt Home Care, the home health division of Vanderbilt University Medical Center and the Vanderbilt University Hospital. Over the past two years alone i have had three foot surgeries and a major spine surgery, which involved an 8 level fusion. I have needed assistance cleaning and organizing my house, assistance with bathing, and continuing physical therapy over the last two years and all of those home health aides were from Vanderbilt Home Care. I have received very valuable care from them, and also benefited from occupational health aides who have taught me how to organize my medication schedule with simple but effective plastic diabetic cases that organize and help schedule medication dosing.OT also helped me organize two years worth of financial, medical, and general house-hold files that had become a total mess during my incapacitation. Physical therapy has helped me with coping techniques, and even now this week taught me a new way of stretching when I get out of the bed, so I do not tilt forward so much, like I used to do. They have given me very good to excellent service and I would recommend them to others.
