my grandmother has the comfort keepers senior home care center come to her home and help her with anything she needs. our experiences with the comfort keepers senior home care of kingsport tennessee have been good ones. the workers always show up on time and they are there twenty four seven to make sure she is always well taken care of. they help her in and out of bed, make her food for her, they even change her when she uses the bathroom in her diaper. one time she tried to get out of bed when they were changing shifts and she fell and hurt her hip. they quickly did what they needed to do to keep her as comfortable as possible until the ambulances got there to take care of her. we are really trust this agency and would not trust her care with anyone else. we recommend this agency to anyone in the kingsport area.

My grandmother, who has had two strokes and has early stages of dementia, was treated poorly by the OWNER of this company, of all people. When talking with the owner, she said that my grandmother chewed her out and that she was a "human being" and did not wanted to be talked to like that. Anyone in the healthcare profession should know that this comes with the territory when caring for stroke and dementia patients. Unfortunately this sort of compassion couldn't be provided for her so she was dismissed from the company! The letter they sent my poor grandmother claims it was because they could not meet her scheduling needs. I have never in my life heard of a home health agency dismissing a client due to scheduling issues. All that she was asking for was the same caregiver M-F but they said that this kind of schedule wouldn't be fair to the other caregivers. We would have stayed with the company despite them being unable to meet her needs. I think this was a personal issue, not a scheduling issue. I tried to resolve this with the owner and corporate and neither were willing to resolve the situation. The owner told my grandmother to go to Visiting Angels, another home care agency in the area, so we did! And we are very pleased with the GENUINE care that we have received so far. Aside from all this, I feel that I should mention that my grandmother fell on TWO different occasions in the presence of two different caregivers working for this company and I was not notified. One of the caregivers even called another caregiver to come help get her off the floor because she couldn't lift her on her own. My grandmother is a full assist and should not have had someone taking care of her that couldn't lift her on their own. When I asked this particular caregiver why she did not tell me she said it "slipped her mind". We had talked just minutes after it had happened and find it hard to believe something like this slipped her mind. Beware of Kingsport Comfort Keepers!!!
