I wasn’t at all impressed with all of the staff from Amedisys. We used them about a few weeks, and they provide physical, occupational therapy, home-maid, and a nurse visit. She was comfortable with most of the caregivers, but the problem that I had is trying to get them, when we called and then schedule them, and they called and set up an appointment. From the time they set up an appointment it took a week or two before anybody came out, and then when people started coming out, no one could get a set a schedule; they kind of just wanted to come on our own schedule and call me the day out and I told them that wouldn’t work. I need to know the day before when are you going to comeand have set time when you are coming weekly. I had times where somebody scheduled and said they were coming out and no one showed up and they told me I would call back. I have to call the director of the department at least four times during the whole thing. I wouldn’t recommend them to anybody, and I would never use them ever again. I had a hard time getting in contact with the director; they just kept making up excuses.

I had hospice care for my mom. Our doctor sent them over for her. We used them for six months. They were a blessing. They're great. I had chaplain assistant and volunteer assistant. I had someone all the way to the moment that my Momma passed away and they were with me all the way until the funeral home to pick her up. It is a blessing to have somebody that is so super with you when you're alone. They provided the medicines. They provided whatever was needed. They were awesome.
