Visiting Angels went out of their way to make it so I was able to take a "sisters" trip to Disneyland! (The trip was already paid for before I assumed care of this gentleman). In my search for respite care, I thought of them, and they made it work! We live just outside their normal area of coverage, my hubby had to leave by 6AM, and this gentleman is ornery. But, the Angel was here on time every time and she did more than expected (cleaning, laundry). My husband was able to work while I was at peace on vacation, knowing my "boys" (including my male shihtzu) we're in good hands!!

I am not sure there is anything they can do to improve at this time. They are very dependable and the girl that usually takes care of my dad is really enthusiastic and involved very well.

All her medication are given to them and that is very helpful to me so I don't have to run over there. I like that they keep me informed with her health and what is going on. She likes them and they are doing a good job.

I have to have someone to help us because we are old and they are helping. I think they need to improve with their training. They send people in here who are supposed to be here but they don't know a salad fork from a pitchfork. They don't know how to make a bed or set a table. They have little training and knowledge.

They have helped her shower and run her errands, but they could do more of the housekeeping and cooking. They are able to do the basics for elderly people.

She's in a memory care assisted living and they are providing one-on-one care that she would not be getting otherwise. She's getting more personalized attention which has been very beneficial for her. I would tell a friend that their standards are excellent with their aides, and that their communication is very good. Their electronic notes are invaluable for a long distance caregiver or adult child.

It started out pretty rough because they had to keep finding new girls, but they finally got it down to a pretty good crew. They've always been able to come up with a replacement on short notice. When everything happened with my wife, I tried taking care of her myself or hiring someone independently, but that didn't go very well. They come in the hours I want to, which makes life easier.

I have had three different caregivers. Two of them were a little inexperienced, but the third one was amazing. She made up for the lack of the others, plus all the future bad ones. When my wife gets up in the morning, she smiles because she is happy about the help that is coming. She enjoys the company of the girls, and they make her laugh.

Visiting Angels follows up and makes sure that everything is going well. They check in every month and send me emails to keep me informed. I appreciate that the caregiver is on time everyday. The client likes the caregiver from Visiting Angels and needs someone with him all day. He can't dress himself and likes to have someone wait on him.

My dad had doubts at first having a stranger come to his house. Once he met Gina he completely changed. He looked forward to her visits every week. I could not have asked for a better caregiver than Gina. She was amazing . I loved everything about her. My dad still mentions her and wonders how she is doing. she gave me sense of relief. I know my dad was in good hands. She gets an A+.

Visiting Angels provided such good care to our Waterford resident. Their service allows our resident to stay where she wants to be and that is her own apartment surrounded by her possessions and memories that she holds dear. This is truly a priceless service.

My mother's caregiver was well received by all the family members as an important piece of our care plan for our mother in her last few weeks. She was affectionate and caring, going beyond the basic requirements to help us out with laundry, etc. as needed. She seemed to truly care for the patient and her needs.

The Angels have been of immense help in both everyday and emergency situations. They have provided as much emotional assistance to a distant (in miles) daughter as they have to an aging of body but of sound mind 96 year old mother.

I hired Visiting Angels of Canton for my 94 year old mother. While the person they sent out to care for my mother was so very nice, the people who run it are extremely insensitive. They must be too busy to care for the family of the elderly. I quit them because I wanted to extend the time for my mother, and they were uninterested in my request. Never called me back, and when I called them to check on my request, the person who I spoke to was very rude. So very disappointed. I am new to this, and I guess my expectations were too high. I did not want to have to change, but, we are paying them, they are not doing me a favor. Beware of the people who run that office.
