It is hard to describe what I feel about the wonderful organization called Tradition. Having been an intern at Rusk Medical Center, and the Director Of Evaluation for all handicapped students in the NY Public School system, and finally, Director of Mishkan of JBFCS, I thought I knew what being handicapped was all about. However, having fallen twice, and having a hip replacement, followed by a broken shoulder, I finally found out what being handicapped was all about. This latest fall took place on a Friday afternoon, this past winter. We were totally at a loss, as to how we would survive the next few days, until proper help was in place. That very afternoon, Rebecca from Tradition Homecare was able to arrange for Tradition to send me an angel named Betty Ann, who immediately began to care for me. The broken shoulder was my right one, the side I use to do most tasks I need to do. Ms Betty Ann, was able to handle everything, in an efficient way, while preserving my dignity. My wife and I were very taken aback by her efficiency, caring and ability to work with the other professionals who were coming to assist me. Having been in much pain, I was not always able to follow the PT's instructions, but Betty Ann prodded me along. After six to eight weeks, I was once again able to use my cane on the right side, and ambulate completely independently. Today, I am totally grateful to Tradition's assistance and service, and I highly recommend them to anyone, should you need HHA services. I can be reached through Tradition Homecare.
