My mother has time and again received great service from the aides at Dependable Home Care which is one of the main reasons she prefers the agency.
Last Saturday, February 10, 2017, my mother was left in her apartment without her aide. She phoned the emergency number from 8 am – 3:00 pm, without a response or call back. I am dissatisfied with their service because on several occasions she has been left with no aide to assist her with daily functions. I have already attempted to resolve this problem by contacting the agency on several instances.
When she first started with the company the representative informed her to contact the emergency number if there were any issue with her care. She has phoned on numerous occasions to address the lack of an aide or having a stranger ring her bell. Which as you know, in NYC, with an elderly individual living alone, they will NOT answer the door for known reasons.
At this point, the only resolution is to take my complaint to the next level, move her to a new agency and provide an honest feedback regarding this NON-Dependable Home Care service. Unfortunately, the problem remains unresolved.
