My parents have Americare Inc Brooklyn, NY. It is working out so far. The attendant would come in, and she was very nice. She works with my father. She is there to talk to him. She helps him with feeding and the things that he needs, so it's working out. And if you need a nurse, they have a nurse come in 2 or 3 times a week. We're happy with it and my father is happy with it. They're helpful. You ask what you need them to do and they're able to do it for you. Right now, the caregiver straightens out things in the room. She'll sweep, dust, and do things that she needs to do in the room. She would sit with my father and give him his breakfast, lunch, or whatever. His hand trembles so he cannot hold a spoon. He can't do what he used to be able to do, so much so that he needs to be fed. She cleans and mops. She makes sure that he's comfortable and okay.

April 29, 2026
occurred on April 21, 2026. While I was at work, I received a call from an Americare nurse stating he would arrive at my home within thirty minutes. I informed him that I was not home but that the home health aide was present. I requested that, in the future, the agency provide advance notice so I can arrange to be present for nursing visits. Upon the nurse's arrival, he greeted the aide by asking, "Are you the aide that called the agency?" and "Does he have food to eat?" When the aide asked for clarification, he dismissed her, stating, "Forget it, you’ve only been here two months, it’s okay." During the visit, the nurse informed my husband he was going to open the refrigerator rather than asking for permission. My husband was very upset by this. The nurse then proceeded to take photographs of the refrigerator and its contents. He also went into the living room to photograph another refrigerator, took photos of my kitchen freezer, and questioned whether the toilet flushed properly. We feel that our privacy has been deeply violated. This behavior felt like an invasion of our home rather than a professional medical visit. My husband and I are very distressed by these actions. I am requesting a formal written apology from management regarding this incident and the conduct of your staff. Yours truly,
