We have a caregiver come in from Senior Helpers Bergen County six hours a day for my husband. They've been excellent, efficient, very kind and understanding. I have no complaints. They really know how to take care of the patient. They're considerate of the family and concerned about my needs too. They do a great job with their staff development. They take care of my husband's personal hygienic needs, prepare breakfast and lunch, give him his medications, and help with some light household chores like washing and tidying up. They're very good. I have no problems communicating with them.

We specialize in providing professional caregivers to come into the home of our clients and assist them with maintaining their independence. Our caregivers are supervised by our Director of Nursing. We can help with activities like light housekeeping, errands, appointments, laundry, medication reminders, companionship, and meal planning and preparation. We also provide personal care such as bathing, dressing and walking assistance. All of our services are non-medical. We can offer this service from as little as 4 hours per day, right up to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All of our caregivers are employees of our company. This means that we don’t use independent contractors and our caregivers go through our interviewing and screening process. All of our caregivers have personal and employment reference checks as well as a criminal background check. They are fully insured and bonded. We are non-contractual so you can stop services anytime you wish.

We had senior helpers provide care for our mom after having previous disaster with a caregiver. Their strengths were good communication, had good helpers and tried to get subs as soon as possible. The downside is they were short of live in staff and while six hours a day was perfect once a patient declined they tell you you need around the clock care at hourly rate which is over $300000 a year and then tell you you need two people at a time making cost over $600000 a year. Be prepared for this and then do caregiving yourself or hire someone independently. Yes the risks are there but you will have no money left snd be homeless if you do not plan ahead. Also since they state they will not dispense medicines be prepared to do that yourself or hire agency that will. It is tough to find right person or people but if you persevere and ask around you will find someone.

I would tell someone that Senior Helpers is more or less reliable. These days, my wife's caregiver is able to get her on a bus that will take her to a day program.

I have had a very positive experience with Senior Helpers. So far, they haven't sent any caregivers to take care of my wife that weren't satisfactory. I clearly define what I would like for the caregivers to do, and they do it.

I would tell someone that Senior Helpers is very reliable and that the caregivers they have sent so far have been very caring, timely, and on top of their jobs. The services really help because my dad needs help in the morning to get showered and dressed. As family, we don't do that and need someone else to do it for us.
