"We used Apex for a very long time, intermittently for a couple of years. Their pricing was reasonable, and they had good references and recommended by the doctor. Work ethics varied from caregiver to caregiver. Some of them were excellent and some of them were on their phones or would show up late and leave early. For the most part, the larger percentage, they were very good caregivers. They were very helpful with scheduling around any sudden changes that we needed, e.g., doctor's visits or dental visits. Billing was a little confusing, though, because we received an invoice every week. There would be that lag between the payment and the next bill, so it was a little confusing as to how they were applied. "

"Someone from American Home Health comes in here every week for my physical therapy. They also took care of my husband when he had cancer 3 years ago and they did a fabulous job, they were here every day with him. With me, they are fine. A physical therapist guy comes here 3 times a week. I think it should be a little bit longer session. I'm gonna ask about that when he comes this coming week. I had a back surgery. I'm able to walk and I don't even have to walk with the walkers anymore, I just stay with the walkers when I come down the stairs. Same therapist comes and stays. He's not a caregiver cause he's just a therapist. He's coming in here and does stretching exercises, takes me on a walk and he's not doing any wound control or anything like that. I just started with them for myself. If I was to look at my husband's, which wouldn't be really fair because that's 3 years ago, I'm gonna give them a 5. They had my husband for several months and they did an incredible job on him. As far as the care I'm having, I'd say probably a 3, today's procedure did not happen 3 years ago."

"The person that's coming from BrightStar Care is very good. We've had no problem in communicating with the agency, and we're always able to call in and speak to someone if we have to. We have a caregiver that comes out four times a week. She takes walks with my wife, she exercises with her, she provides meals, and helps out around the house. Those are the basic services that she provides for us. They're a very good agency, but the drawback is that they're very expensive just like all the other agencies."
