We used the in-home care services of Visiting Angels Senior Home Care Spring Hill, FL for about four months, and they were excellent. What they did was basically come in and be a companion to my dad. They didn't help with medication or any kind of nursing duties. They assisted him in eating when the food was delivered. They also assisted him in getting ready for bed, brushing his dentures, and going to the bathroom. What we really wanted was for them to just kind of watch over him, make sure he was safe and that he ate, which they did. The hours kept changing as his condition got worse. We did end up with seven days a week, and at the end, I believe it was four hours a day. Usually, they did try to send the same caregiver, but of course, being seven days a week, they would have to change that up. They were phenomenal and were so professional and pleasant. If the companion had any concerns, they would call me immediately. If there was a concern about his eating or anything at all, they would immediately call me and apprise me of any situation with my father at all. They were just right on top of everything.
