Horizon Nursing Services saved the day for my mom, and me! She was TOTALLY against having an aide to assist her and fought me tooth and nail. Marlene, Sandra and Ellen worked diligently to find us the perfect aide for her and we could not be any happier with her. Our aide Laika is kind, passionate, reliable, very caring & nurturing. Horizon was suggested to us by our mother’s care manager for assistance when mom she left the hospital. Mom had Alzheimer’s and in the month that Horizon was taking care of mom she deteriorated rapidly, passing away only a month after she left the hospital. The Horizon aides were professional and caring, friendly and trustworthy. Alzheimer’s was not a friend to our mother and no matter how difficult mom became, they stayed calm and steady with her. We will be eternally grateful for the care they provided in mom’s final month.

Piece of Mind

My father is 97 years old and lives in an independent facility. He is fairly independent but needs assistance with mobility, personal hygiene and light house up keep. I contacted Horizon Care Services at my doctors suggestions and they were so responsive. Before they asked all the business questions regarding insurance coverage, they wanted to know about my dad as a person. I had a chance to meet and interview the assistant prior to placement. She arrives on time and proactively anticipates his needs. She makes sure he is bathed and lunch is prepared. She helps with light housework including picking up and making his bed. . She helps without one complaint .Most importantly, my father is happy and well cared for. I feel like he is receiving concierge service from Horizon. My phone calls are returned promptly and with a willingness to help. They have become a one stop resource and resolve problems. Thank you Horizon for always going above and beyond and giving me piece of mind knowing my father is in the best of hands.Most importantly, my father feels valued and loved.
