It is hard because my mom has dementia, and when she walks in, she doesn't know one day from the next what mom is going to say or do, so it is taking her a while. But she seems to be working out alright. She is very friendly and very talkative, and mom doesn't like that because she likes the quiet sometimes, but the girl is learning. We told her, "Don't talk to mom when she is not in a good mood, so go away." The girl told me that they knew all about dementia and what all their people do about dementia, and then again she comes in and doesn’t know a thing about dementia, so she is not aware. We wanted somebody who was aware of dementia and knew how these people are going to act. You knew if they are going to be in a good mood or when they are in a bad mood and how to work with them or if they are very forgetful. Mom is forgetting stuff, and then she might turn around and say, "Did you take such and such?" You have to know how to handle that. Well, this poor girl doesn't know anything about it, so my brother talks to her a lot. And he gets very upset because the agencies tell you stuff, and it is not true. But Griswold was quick in getting the girl, so that was good.
