The caregiver from Marcia Loving Care is very kind and capable. She is with my husband at a rehab facility on a 12-hour shift from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and then another comes from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. It’s essentially 24-hour care for my husband and, so far, it’s worked very well. She assists in the activities of daily living which include meals, bathing, personal hygiene, getting him dressed, and being generally someone to talk to although my husband, at this point, talks a lot of gibberish. The caregiver, I believe, is from Central America or Ecuador and even though she’s soft spoken, kind, and patient, I have a little trouble understanding what she says from time to time. We usually iron it out, and it’s not any problem of the agency or the person; it’s just that I have a problem understanding.
