I have been very pleased with a few of the people working with my mom. Several haven't seemed to be as competent as I would have expected. I think this is due to lack of training and follow up by management. There have been a few times when I was only notified that meds needed to be filled when there were none left. I have considered looking into other options.

I've been very happy with Serenity. I've had the same caregiver the whole time, and she's very experienced, very helpful, and managed everything pretty well. She helps my husband get up in the morning, and she works 2 hours a day. I've had initial issues with billing, but they took care of it, and now it's been fine.

It seemed like Serenity Senior Care Services hired caregivers who haven't been quite trained to handle people who are really forgetful and have early stages of dementia. They called us a lot because they don't seem to know how to handle certain situations. Last night, they called my husband because my mother-in-law does not want to put on her pajamas so he had to talk to her to calm her down. There have been at least 10 different girls in the three months we have been using their services. We have been told in the beginning there will only be three different people taking care of her, but so far, they keep changing the caregivers who still have so much to learn. They need to take time to train their people.
