I used Love at Home. The whole time I was talking to Malia, the coordinator. Angela was the caregiver that went to the house and took care of my husband for the time that I wasn't around. There were some things that my husband liked and some things he didn't like. I had a good experience with Malia. We had good communication, even though I was out of the country. She understood that I couldn't pay her on time because I was having a tough time with transferring money from bank to bank, but I was able to finally do that. She was very understanding that that was kind of a disadvantage for me being out of the country. I never really interacted with Angela. In the beginning he liked Angela. What he was trying to figure out was why she was washing clothes every day. I brought some ready to cook meals for him, but according to him, she wanted to order out. He was a little bit nervous because he was kind of giving her his debit card and the code. I tried to tell him she wasn't misusing it. My understanding is that Angela went ahead and got groceries delivered, but some of the groceries were kind of questionable, like we had three loaves of bread. We don't really eat bread that much. Angela was just there to kind of help him if he needed help to go to the bathroom, help him if he needed to go to bed, and just making sure that he didn't fall. We had a neighbor, Alison, who wasn't a licensed caregiver, but she takes care of some of the old people because we live in a senior community mobile home park. My husband still wants Alison to come in because he had psoriasis, and he was more comfortable with Alison coming in and putting in the lotion for him, and that type of thing. He and Angela got along really well. I think she's just too much for him because she has such a bubbly personality. She's a very friendly gal. He did like her.

Love At Home Senior Care has been very good and responsive. The director, Malia, was very timely considering it was a short notification and we met the day before care started. She ended up having to stay with my wife the first day because her staff member had a family situation. She was able to find us another care provider that we still have. It's been a very, very good service.
