We used this caregiver service for my 95 year old Pearl Harbor survivor & Korean War veteran father’s end of life care. The family focus was to honor our father’s wishes to stay at home with our mother in the modest house they built together over 65 years ago. We wanted his final days to be as comfortable and stress free as possible as well as to lessen the loving burden on our mother. Unfortunately, problems with this company have resulted in major stress & hardship for my elderly mother. Our father passed away in early Dec 2015. As requested by the company, our family had paid for the entire month of Dec in advance. Although the company’s contract states that refunds will be made in the event of death, it has been 5 months since our father’s death & the company has failed to refund the $8,740.00 owed. On numerous occasions the company assured us that the refund was forthcoming, several times erroneously stating, “The check is in the mail.” They now refuse to respond to any inquiries from our family. In addition to our concern over the hardship this poses for our elderly mom, we feel it is our responsibility to share this information with other vulnerable and elderly individuals and their families.
