I had my husband in Vacaville Memory Care. I could visit him, but I couldn't stay with him. There were four rooms in each building. My husband had his own room, which was nice. They were very nice, very compassionate, and very patient. Unfortunately, my husband was very belligerent. I took him out because he just wasn't happy. It had nothing to do with the people or the food. They were just good people. Good people. Good community. The workers in the little houses themselves were just awesome. I just loved them to death. Each building had a kitchen. They have a room where they could have families come in and all sit together and have dinner. In the big room, they have nice furniture to sit in to watch TV. It was a nice and very clean place. They also have a beautiful courtyard for them to go out to. I had so many free meals there, and they were good. They had their regular meals. I noticed that for people who were a little bit more incapacitated, they softened the food for them. They also feed some of the people who needed to be fed. I liked them. They had singers coming in. They had puzzles, and they would come in and help you with things like that. The little girl who coordinated the activities was so sweet. I can't remember them because my husband never participated, but I know they had different activities for them. Their food was not restaurant-type, but they had a variety. If you didn't want something, you could ask for something else. Breakfast, lunch, and supper were always good. They had hamburgers, and I would like to go on a hamburger night. They had a lot of different things. One of the reasons I had to take my husband out was that I just couldn't afford it. It had nothing to do with the facility because I'm sure it was well spent; I just couldn't spend that much. I was paying like a little over $7000 a month, and it was a little too much for us, and knowing that he didn't want to be there, I just brought him home and have home health. They each had their own room. They have hospital beds, but you could bring whatever you wanted there. I hung his pictures on his wall, and they hooked up a TV for him that had several channels. It was just a nice and wonderful place to be if you wanted to be there.

It was a nice place, but it wasn't a good fit for Mom. I liked it a lot. The one we looked at was a shared room. It's a little institutional and it didn't feel very warm.

We enjoyed viewing the facility. The staff seemed very caring and knowledgeable. The amenities were clean, and it looked like it would be ideal for people aging. Though the rooms themselves were a tad small in my opinion, but I think it's ideal for someone who needs to be observed. What I feel is that they don't want the residents secluding themselves in their rooms. They kind of want them out in the community area so they can socialize. But it's ideal for sleeping, and getting a little bit of privacy. They were clean but not super spacious, which is okay. The common dining area was welcoming. It was clean, and there was a lot of natural lighting in there. I met some of the staff, and they all seemed very friendly. The grounds were clean and spacious. They had amenities for residents that might need help walking, there was a railing for them. There was a gardening area for residents that might want to partake in gardening or weeding or whatnot. It was really beautiful and clean. There was space for walking for those residents who need a little more physical activity but were still enclosed in a safe area. Some board games were going on in the individual communities because it's divided up based on need. I believe that there are 12 residents per house, or home, based on need. They offer other activities for the community to come in and partake in. So, there are some visits from outside groups that can come in, and it's just enrichment for the residents.

I toured. The coordinator, Rosa, was extremely nice. The facility was beautiful. The only problem I had with that is the rooms don't have private bathrooms, and that was the deal breaker. I had a conversation with a couple of residents who were doing an art project, and they were very much enjoying the teacher. They had a beauty stylist and a small TV room.

My mom has been here for a year and a half now. It's adequate. However, my mom needed more attention. She just wasn't getting enough attention. The staff are nice, but I think they're understaffed. They haven't done much for my mother at all in terms of activities. That's been my main concern. There's no swimming pool but there is a courtyard. My mom has a private room with a sink. The toilet just opens up into the main room where the gathering room is and it's used by several of the residents. It's a common toilet, and then there's one shower per wing, and that's used by many of the residents. Also, my mom doesn't like their food. They need to improve the attention and the activities for their residents.

My mother is in here. I like the way they care for my mom. They try to keep her busy, and they feed her well. Everything I need for her is done here. From what I've seen, the food looks like it's healthy. They feed her three meals a day, and if she doesn't eat a meal, she'll request a snack and they'll give her that, so that makes up for it. The staff is pretty nice. They will answer all my questions and they will take care of my problems. The caregivers are very good to my mom. I like the way they're dedicated to their job here. For activities, they use a plastic stick and hang the balloon and stuff like that. My mom also plays the organ or the piano for them. They were supposed to take them on outings, but I guess they haven't done that because of this pandemic. They let her walk freely all around the campus. She goes to the different cottages. They just let her do whatever she wants. I think there are 15 people in each cottage and she has a room in one of the cottages. I've dealt with two different places. I would say the value for this place was better plus it was a gated community, which made it a better choice. The price is OK.

My father is in here. I really like the way it's set up. They have rooms for the residents kind of in a semicircle, and they really can keep an eye on everybody if they're in their room. Even if the caregiver is out in the dining room, they can keep an eye on my father. That's easy access for him to come out to the dining room and the living room or go out for a walk on the patio. It's just very nice. The staff is absolutely wonderful. We had Dad in another place for a little over a year and he didn't get the kind of care he needed, but bringing him here, he just gets absolutely wonderful care from his caregivers. The nurses that are on staff are on top of everything. We're very pleased. He's getting real good care. He likes the food, and he's eating good and doing well. They have a lot of things that they offer for activities to keep them busy. Dad is almost 97, and he's not much of a participator, but they always invite him and ask him to be involved or if he would like to be involved. People bring pets by to see him, and he loves the little doggies. He just gets a lot of good care here. They do really, really good and they're so kind to him and loving to him. It's like a home atmosphere for him here. He's happy here. I've never tasted their food, but I've been here when he's been served and it looks very good and smells very good, and he's eating real well. We love it here. They clean the residents' rooms. The outside area, the living room, the dining room, and the kitchen are real clean. They've learned what he likes. They bring him out for the church service and he likes to listen to music. Value for money is good. We get better care here than we have in the past. If he wants to call us, they call us and let him talk to us. Overall, we're very happy. There are only 10 or 12 rooms in this facility. They have what they call houses, and that way they can see all the rooms and the residents. He had an episode a couple of days ago and they had to take him to the emergency room and they handled that very nicely. They called both me and my sister and informed us what was going on and where he was going and how we could follow through, and he's back now. They're watching him very closely and taking really good care of him. They offer services right up to hospice care. It's just a real well-rounded, well-run facility. As far as I'm concerned, they're doing everything right, and daddy is very happy here.

It's an extremely overwhelming process to leave a love 1 in such a vulnerable state. I received great empathy and reassurance when admitting my Mother to the facility, with great care to the transition.

My sister has been in this facility for ten years. She has resided at every house during the course of her residence. Though some staff has changed during this time she the facility has always delivered the best care. Her activities were trimmed to her needs. As she declined the staff adjusted and always gave her loving care. They are patient, caring and truly treat her as family.

I like the small house set up, with the rooms surrounding the common areas. I like the outside area. They have daily activities and since the residents are mixed in care levels, even those that cannot participate much seem to have the opportunity to interact with others who have more skills. The staff are nice but the only issue i have had is that there are different people in the house. It may just be that my mom entered during the pandemic so we have not had much time to really get to know who is usually working there.

My mother has been a resident here for many years now. The staff is kind and caring and attentive to my mothers needs. They ALWAYS contact me immediately if they have to notify me of any changes with my mom. Their staff does not just sit around on their phones when things are slow, they are constantly looking out for the well being of my mom and the other residents and are doing everything they can to keep them safe, secure, and as happy as they can be in their current situations. They handle tough cases with kindness and empathy and this why I'm giving them such a high review here. I interact with the office staff on a regular basis and they are always attentive to my needs and respond very quickly. I also interact with the director regularly and she makes herself available to me at all times with questions I may have. They also have regular ZOOM meetings for all updates during Covid which really helps put our family at ease during this difficult time. I'm thrilled that we have found a place for my mom where the entire staff is efficient and professional and kind and caring at the same time. I would Highly recommend this care facility to any family member that is suffering with Alzheimer's or Dementia.

Total lack of communication between the family's concerns with the management. They do not respond to your calls or concerns.A huge disappointment. The caregivers are good, sometimes GREAT. The rooms are clean and new, the courtyard and the cottage style of living is like home.

It is very nice, and I like the cottage house style setting. Everything was very new and the upkeep director was very friendly and knowledgeable. They were doing bingo one time when we were there. They have a very large patio and walkways for the residents to garden and visit with family.

It is very clean, excellent, and has great help. I'm very satisfied. They have individual homes around a courtyard. It?s a locked facility with a kitchen and rec room in each home. My husband likes the food even though he's a cook and is picky. The staff is very efficient and caring. I'd highly recommend it to anyone with dementia or Alzheimer's.

It is fine. They have different cottages with up to 15 residents in each one where they try to put people together who need the same level of care. They also have single rooms and shared rooms. Mom is in a shared room with a sink and two closets. The bathrooms are community and located down the hallway. The staff seems fine, but there are more men than I'm used to. It's cleaner and smells better than where Mom used to live. Mom's hygiene is better at this place.

I liked it, but it was maybe 30 minutes away. The staff set aside time to sit down with me, go over my husband’s situation, and tell me what was available, and I appreciated that. What stands out is that they seemed adequately staffed for the number of patients and for the type of patients. These are all patients who have dementia so they need 24-hour care. The rooms were nice. It was an older building but still very nice and quite homey. They had their own furniture, a lot of pillows, and a lot of blankets. The dining room was very good. There was somebody who was always there either reading or playing music. I’d say it was excellent.

We needed to move my father because he was wandering around the previous facility that he was in. I have eaten there twice and it's really good. Each cottage has its own bedroom. Some of them have two bedrooms and one room that's just private room and we got the private room. I like the people because they are really friendly. The place is more of a homey atmosphere and that's what my dad likes. They give a monthly calendar with all of the trips that they are going.
