Mom has been here for 2 yrs.We love it!! She's VERY happy!. They are very caring and nice staff. No they are NOT trained nurses, but that is what a CBRF is. As a health care professional, I feel she is getting great care. Clean, nice surroundings,food is fairly good. I have eaten holiday meals there. I do bring occasional special meals for Mom and me to share. I also take her out once in awhile. She gets her PT order walking daily, help with ADL's and room cleaned. She even gets a whirlpool weekly- Sit down one that she climbs into. My brother and I have never second-guessed our decision to place her there. Also, there is the benefit that she has guaranteed placement at Oakridge Gardens if need be. When in doubt, as other family members while you are visiting a facility.

This facility is lacking in skilled staff. If your elderly loved one has any ongoing health concerns or cannot navigate for himself well, a nursing home would be the better answer. Little follow through, short-tempered staff, not the cleanest, meals not the best. We were desperate and didn't do our homeword before placing dad there for a year prior to his passing.
