We visited the Eagle Crest Communities in La Crosse. The facilities were fine and they had a nice range of care. From an individual, more senior living type of care, to memory care, and expanded assisted living. They also had two levels of assisted living, which was interesting because the other places didn't have that. Then on top of the two levels of assisted living, they had memory care, which is their highest level. We looked at their assisted living during our visit. We checked the dining area, and their facilities in general. The floor plan was very good, they had a couple of different options, and it seemed to be very clean. Of the places we visited, it was the only one that offered memory care, so if you have people who were beginning to have signs of dementia but didn't need a nursing home, then this place would be a very good option for them.

We were looking for a nursing home that could provide the therapy that our mom needed after a major stroke and chose Bethany Riverside. When mom arrived at Bethany Riverside, she needed assistance with nearly everything. The facility was clean and the staff were kind and compassionate. They worked together as a team and encouraged mom to take one day at a time. They managed her complex medical problems, understood her limitations, and encouraged her to keep working toward her goals. The therapy department was outstanding! Mom participated in therapy 5 days per week during her 52 day stay at Bethany Riverside. She was discharged to her home and is back to her baseline and enjoying life. I would recommend this nursing home for those looking for an excellent therapy department for a loved one.

Of all the facilities I encountered, I like Bethany Riverside the best. They had several different sections and one even for Alzheimer's. I thought it was an excellent facility. We chose this for my father because my church supports it. My father stayed there for seven years. The facility was clean and it smelled good. It was very modern and very living room-like when you first come in the front door. It was very nice and very expensive. The staff was very kind and very caring for my father. He had a room and he shared it with another man. My father said food was very good. They had similar activities with other facilities and they took them out to eat or out to the mall once in a while.
