I am/was a resident of this facility

I was at Grancare Nursing Center in Green Bay for rehabilitation. It was wonderful, I loved it and I didn't want to leave. The staff was excellent, they're topnotch. It has a little bit more care than the place I'm currently in but it's also a bit expensive. For the money though, they're a 5 all across the board for me. They're just amazing. It was a smaller, more intimate facility than the one I'm currently in but it's very well laid out and very clean. The cleaning staff was always there to make sure things were clean, it was wonderful. My room was a corner room, I had windows looking out on a street and it was my kind of place. It isn't fancy looking but it's super clean, beautifully laid-out, and easy to get around. It's very wide and has hardwood floors so your wheelchair moves easily. They had a nice kitchen area and I could've eaten in their dining area but I just loved my corner room so much. There's a physical therapy room down the hall from where I was and that was great. I did a lot of rehabilitation in that room and it was outstanding. They had music playing while we're doing rehabilitation exercises and they're very warm and friendly. It had weights and all the things you need for therapy. The therapists who used the room were very knowledgeable in how they used the equipment to get you to strengthen up. They also had a lot of outdoor amenities but it was too cold to do anything outdoors. If the weather is nicer, they have gardens outside and places to sit and walk. The staff was there almost one-on-one, 24 hours a day, and it was more than anybody could expect. It just cost more money than I could ever afford.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My mother-in-law was at Grancare in Green Bay. Their therapy department and their nursing staffs were very impressive. She was there for three months, and their care was very good. She was in the rehab area. They met her therapy needs, and it was very impressive. They have very good staff. It was very clean and well maintained. I know about walking to a nursing home where you just have that smell, but not here. In the area she was in, there was no smell whatsoever. I didn't try the food, but she said every meal she had there was great. It was just wonderful. It was a private room, and it was has a very nice size.

I visited this facility

Grancare Nursing Center was beautiful inside, and their menu looked good, but I didn't see anybody out in the common areas. I only saw two people. Everybody else was in their own little apartment. It was an afternoon, so maybe they were napping. Physically about the place, it was absolutely beautiful. It's very homey, really nice, and sparklingly, squeaky clean. The rooms were beautiful and roomy. Part of the reason I was looking at the facility is that the rooms were so big.
