Staff seem very friendly and were able to answer all of our questions. It appears very family oriented and very clean/well kept.

Cardinal Ridge Residential Care was horrible. It was meant just for dementia and Alzheimer's patients, and it was dirty. They all shared one shower room and there was poop literally on the floor. We walked out; it was horrible. The staff who gave the tour was a young girl who was just trying to do her job. I was just disappointed in the whole thing. They showed us an apartment that was being redone. They had the carpet torn out and they were repainting when we went there, so there was nothing in the room at all. The only one we met was just the girl that gave us the tour, I didn't see anybody else around, and it only carries 22 patients, but I saw nobody else helping. It's not her fault that the facility is really bad.

Cardinal Ridge Residential Care was OK. It was average and acceptable. The rooms weren't as homey as the other place, and they were smaller. Their activity room had almost nothing in it. There were like two puzzles and very few books. They had very small rooms with very few things to do. It was not very inviting. I wouldn't want to stay there. They accept respite, that's why we toured it, but there was kind of a misunderstanding. When we got there, the staff said a different price, then she said she had to find out and call us back, and she didn't call us back. The staff seemed nice, but they didn't know their own prices. One said $175 a day and the other one said it was $195 a day. It's like don't tell me a price if you don't know for sure, because that's the only reason we toured. I know it was gonna be much cheaper a day because we knew there was no kitchenette in the room. The staff was less knowledgeable even when we called, but they seemed very nice and helpful. The tour was good, but with COVID, they had this room where the person was on one side. People couldn't come in and visit. They come in this thing from outside and one person was like in a phone booth. The visitors were inside this phone booth from outside and then inside the care center, the resident was off the kitchen area, and they were like talking through a phone booth glass thing. They couldn't be in contact with them. I thought that was weird. The people were good, except for that one that was not as knowledgeable. The menu was very good. When I look at a menu, I check for meat, starch, fruits, vegetables, and they were hitting all the notches on the menu.
